What does having more arcane knowledge (through buildings) or technical knowledge (through building studies?) do? Does it lower the time it take to learn new spells or research?
Yes, and this is your biggest problem I am guessing. You need to build a lot of those Tech buildings. I would put no more than 2 housing units(this is usually good enough to get to a level 3), like huts on any city other th

The problem with shields is that right now, 2handed weapons > 1handed weapons + Shields, by a huge margin. 40 or 50 attack versus a 15 or 22 is a big deal. The whole way attacks and damages are valued need to change. Drastic change. It's just too simple of a system to handle all the different gear and troop sizes. I'm not going to try and come up with a formula that will fix it, that isn't my strong point at all, But instead of had and fast numbers, maybe some

I would like if the Factions had set city names. Like if you Play Civ, the default names of the cities are things like Paris if you play France and Washington if you play America, etc. I know The major factions have city names already, they are in the book and they are in the tutorial. Small detail to make the world feel more interesting. Minor factions. Is there a reason the leader to the minor factions have to stand outside their ci
The campaign is um...good at...shit...pretty much nothing. Although, there really are only 2 units in the game, those with melee and those with bows. I would prefer it to be a strong story based campaign and/or a solid tutorial, and now it is neither. Maybe they are going to fix it after 1.3, when they've decided on how the game will play and implement that in the main game.
I didn't get a computer until I was in my 20's, so I can't go as far back as you guys can. But I do have some PC games that I always go back to and protect with a vengeance. Alpha Centauri might be my favorite game of all time, and then the games Arcanum and Planescape:Torment. Just fantastic games. Now if you want to know some NES GAmes that have survived the years, moves, fires, etc, I could talk more about that.
Yea, that 90 metacritic score is a real albatross around Jon's neck, I'm surprised anyone would want to hire him. I mean, why couldn't he have gotten a 100? You don't like the game. That's it. Just because you and some other basement dwelling troglodytes on some video game forums, places of rancid hatred and desperate virginity, don't like a game, that doesn't mean everyone has come to the same conclusion. Jon should cl
I dont see a problem with armor really, just the ease of getting legendary armor.
Don't laugh at me, but the world was extreme and the AI was only Hard... I have played hundreds of these games, but I rarely play to win, I play and have fun. I was actually had troops with better gear than my enemies, but they had far more numbers and I eventually just got over swamped and couldn't produce troops fast enough to fight them off. I was trying a 1 city only game too. Just couldn't produce enough soldiers.
Poor guy, hope the best for him and his family.
No, she's an art person, but she is a nerdy hippy lesbian. Thats why she calls herself "Nerdyke".
I lost a game! I legitimately lost a fucking game! Fuck you Frogboy and your AI improvements! I suck at these games, how dare you make the AI try to kill me! But seriously, pretty fun now, I actually have to plan shit and try to win, or the AI will actually make an attempt to kill me...and they did.

You dont know that. Jon has been silent and sheltered by Frogboy and Stardock. The story is a bit misty atm. Wheres the transparency Brad ? Regardless of what you thought of CiV Shafer stayed on while decisions were made that violate the GBoA. He didnt quit, he didnt speak out and he did what was
Well, you are just going to have to get to know the game to realize witch are repeatable. Most of the repeatable ones involve finding a potion of some kind I think.
If you have started a repeatable quest, then you can't start another quest exactly like it.
I have a question. Do AI controlled Sovs and Champions assign their stat points when they level up? Seems like I fought a level 10 Varga that had the same stats as a level 1 Varga.
Do you have mods going? I dont think my game does that...but maybe I haven't looked at it... EDIT: Just checked a save at turn 600+, and mine are fine, the dates don't change, still has Xander being born in 130 something.
I think in Genghis Khan you use to be able to send your 10 year olds to war and marry them. I think 13 was considered an adult throughout most societies up until recently. But, that being said...don't realy want to think about children getting killed or screwed...so 18 sounds fine.
I dont think I agree with a lot of this. But I'm kind of tired, and don't feel like explaining.
Is my math even right on this? is it 100 turns for 25 years or 200 turns? Maybe it is just 100. Maybe let them be available at age 15? Then that would be 60? I guess that ain't so bad. I don't know, I am too stupid to deal with numbers.
200 turns seems fine to me, if it was 50, I would have a billion grand kids.
Isn't 200 turns just 25 years? It takes 25 years (200 turns) for a child to grow up.

The enemies in my game seem to research lord hammers pretty damn quick and are able to hurt me no matter what armor I wear. The issue being that having only one weapon and one weapon that work in the game doesn't strike me as interesting. Not to mention that this whole "quality vs quantity" thing
