Blah. I really don't want to upgrade my XP64 machine. For as unsupported as people say XP64 is, I've had nothing but trouble trying to get Vista or Win7 to work with my games :( Is there any value to Stardock in having bug reports from XP64 or should I hold off on giving debug dumps on bugs I encounter until I coax Vista/7 into cooperation?

Gave my answers. If you make another of these surveys you may want to consider providing a "N/A" option, theres quite a few I answered "Never" to simply because I have yet to be able to get past turn 5 or so without some game-ending glitch or crash occuring (all of which have been reported by others if you are wondering why there have been no posts from me).

This is a bug that existed in 1.0x too. You can make your Flagship go off and find all Anomolies in range, seen or not. I've been able to reproduce it rather constantly. What you do is give your flagship orders to both Auto Survey and Auto Explore. After it checks the ones it can see, it will give you the 'all done' message for surveying and go off on auto explore. If you then bring up the detailed command window and select Auto Survey a

The reset doesnt actually reset them to thier defaults - it would more aptly be named 'clear' then 'reset'. Deleting the custom race file in your My Documents\My Games\Gal Civ 2\ folder (name not exact, as I'm at work too) is the best way to go about resetting it. The file nameis something like CurrentCustomRace000.xml

As a note for the second question: You need to turn on the 'show range' option for the minimap to see the light grey line for range. Its one of the icons to the right of the minimap. I too had badly stuttering sound on the tutorial... I stopped listening after about 30 seconds into the first one and just decided to do the classing 'learn by doing' way I almost always end up doing for 4x games... which prolly explains why I'm so bad at them
