oddrheia! Just the person I want to see! Got any suggestions as to how to add the waterfall folks have suggested for the house? The standard particle editor waterfall doesn't really scale appropriately to fit well; do you have some pointers on how to make a little waterfall, please?

Okay, the latest (and I hope the last) round of edits on angel house and hovel Angel Hovel: Angel House: Angel_Hovel_Build (also house build) Please give me any suggestions by tonight (Sunday night); I want
oddrheia, those tiles are looking amazing, way to go! I vote for V1; much more "arcology" look to it. Someday, you'll need to post a tutorial on what those components are to achieve that look. :)
So, trying to expand on my Angel House/Hovel. What are folks thoughts on this? Is this a house or a hovel (in other words, do I work to make this more majestic, or less?)
Don't believe Xia, he's working for the wolf!
Were you folks thinking maybe something like this?
Okay, I'll play with that a bit. Here's where I'm at now, growing hovel to house. I'm close to max height on the house, though, so that may be problematic. I'll fiddle with your ideas and see what I can do. Thanks! Hovel: Hovel Build: House: <img src="http://img593.im
That looks amazing as a forge, J_H; I love it! (I may have to steal a bit from it for the angels; I love the layout!)
Angel Hovel: I'm not thrilled with the idea of them living on the ground, but I'm trying to keep the "organized, tidy stonework" theme going. Suggestions are always welcome.
Yeah, it would be nice to have separate scaling on X, Y, and Z, so that things like flattening could occur. Put it on the list for Mr. Shafer to look at.
Actually, I like that, because then it can be adapted easily as a growth to the Library:
Like this, maybe, Agrippa?
Okay, will do. How do I get you the files? Also, I may need to violate the 35 component limit for the library; as an upgrade to the study, I'm already close to the limit on the study (the paving tiles take up a lot of slots). That okay?
Okay, couple sets ready for comment and criticism, and by all that's holy, I'm going to figure out how to post pictures here, instead of links. Angel's Arcane Laboratory: Angels Beacon: <img src="http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/606/angelsbeacon.jpg"
"Pandora" was the name of the planet in the movie "Avatar".
Maybe we should reserve judgment until we actually see what is going to be done with the game, kinda blowing your nerd-rage load a little soon on this. The guy is clearly talented and experienced.
Lord Xia is the voice of reason here? Has anyone seen War, Death, Pestilence, or Plague yet?
Okay, HF, I'll stick to not all floating bits. Okay if I do a little "Pandora" type feel to it, though, floating crystals around a ground centered building? That was the vision I was thinking about. I need to see the elf tileset; do I just download the elf mod and then open them up in the editor?
Right, thanks! Here's the Beacon for the angels under construction: http://img338.imageshack.us/i/elemental1294202687.jpg/ And after completion: http://img52.imageshack.us/i/elemental1294202753.jpg/ I'm going for the "if I had wings, I wouldn't build on the ground" philosophy.
I'm sorry I'm being slowwitted here, but how do you get these screenshots and post them here? Is there a tutorial somewhere?
*gasp* Lord Xia is the lovechild of Wintersong and Heavenfall! I KNEW it!
Man, I'm way behind. :) Two final quick questions; how do you get a snapshot from the editor to paste here? And do you just copy/paste the file into the forums to get the image, or how do I embed the image here? On a design note, how do you feel about a particle effect on the ground, HF? I was thinking of trying to build a general puffy cloud ground effect that all grounds would be hidden by for the angels, but it may be too much.
HF, how do we get the models to you? I'd like to send you a picture of the general feeling I'm going for in Angels; more arching flying buttresses and white stone ("marble") with greenery around. Before I get too far down, I want you to take a look and make sure I'm hitting your overall idea.
I'll take angels for 100, Pat.
Hey, Heaven, count me in. I haven't worked with the in game assets much, but it will be a good opportunity to start that process.
Thanks, Heavenfall, I'll give it a whirl the whole way through and see what I get.
