As a long time pen and paper roleplayer, i always create a character to be fun, usually giving them at least one flaw. to me its more about the epic story of a map than "winning or losing", id love to see the ability to label locations on the cloth map so you can really make a believeable play world.

I tried playing with the City zoom mode on, but i found it altered my perspective too much, i found it easier just to place the building in my normal view mode since i like to do lots of camera rotation and cinematic views in my games.
Rofls! look out real world, just dont stare at the sun, the HDR on that thing is enormously overdone.
you guys are awesome! the players of your awesome games really do appreciate all the hard work you guys put in. im running an AMD Phenom chip as well and i have the same issue, its not a processor brand thing i dont think.
at this point im actually considering doin a complete system wipe to see if a fresh install will fix the problem :S there has to be something causing the issues, i couldnt even start the game initially without uninstalling ATI Tray Tools.
haha yeh this thread goes really slow as well lol its funny cuz its like its being affected by the same thing as the game, but yeh i get the same problem, massive slowdown around cities to pretty much unplayable levels even when the graphics is set to absolute minimum, running AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core and ATI HD4870 with the 10.7 catalyst drivers on Windows XP 32bit
I dont know if it will help but Elemental wasnt starting for me, i.e. black screen then return to desktop, turned out i had to uninstall ATI tray tools :S dont know why that was a problem but if anyone has it installed and Elemental isnt running, try uninstalling ATT
