So, I was thinking while wandering through vast stretches of forest and big seemingly empty mountain ranges...how come all of the resources and goodies are on plains? Likely for ease of exploration, but honestly I would like to see resources in forests, on the ocean so ships could pick them up, in mountains so you must send a special unit type to get them or build a special improvement next to it to get it...etc. Honestly, having things like special honey only found in

As an addendum to my previous post: it'd be nice if not every empire needed the same resources in order to be successful, and that trade was necessary to use your own resources to the best of your ability. Being someone like the mongols shouldn't get you boned, just because you're on the plains and raise cattle and horses and don't have much iron. After-all, they did manage to conquer a large portion of the world and build a brief but massive empire with mostly horses and bows.

Perhaps here should be minor and major (Greater and Lesser?) Resources, or some resources that are region specific/hard to export. You could for example make a certain type of unit that has certain types of armor and certain weapons. Maybe you want their armor to be an especially strong form of steel (That requires special coal/craftsmanship) or a special kind of wood. Rather than letting an entire empire fill itself with soldiers armed and armored with rare resources, perhaps

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but so far in Beta 1A of elemental it won't let me save my game, the button to actually 'save' is greyed out, while the load button and delete button aren't.

I personally think that the sovereign, being just some guy wandering around, shouldn't necessarily be the impetus for a declaration of war. Scout: Hey, sire, there's some old man wandering around a few miles from our town. King: Oh really? Declare war on the closest nation!

It'd be nice to also have an icon in front of an item's name to show when it's equipped. As it is the 'equipped' text scrolls of my screen with some long names. Maybe each 'slot' item could have an icon to represent what is mutually exclusive with it?

Honestly I'd love a colored arrow showing where my units, as well as enemy units are planning to move. Galciv had it, after-all. Not colored, mind, but still pathing so you could intercept if needed.

It'd be nice to have some arrows or lines showing what the planned route to the X is, rather than just the x. It's a bitch to chase down giant spiders and smite them.
