I have some ideas that you could use that I posted in another thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/436650/page/1/#3276933 Thanks to Galactic_Hunter for pointing me here.

Thanks for the heads up!
I think it would be great if influence would affect a city's defenses. - Rallying Cry. Sway the locals to your cause. This adds a minor bonus to a city defender's attack/defense/hp. - Last Stand. This adds a moderate bonus to a city defender's attack/defense/hp, and is castable/usable once per city. The more that I think about it, the more I think that influence could be used to implement espionage. - De
i think that they should alter the standard idea of the open/closed borders treaty. Most of the time the issue really concerns the AI trying to sneak a pioneer into my territory. I think a closed borders treaty could work in FE if it only applied to pioneers. Warmongering units that trespass are annoying, but trespassing pioneers take it to another level of frustration and are who I truly detest.
I'd pay for multiplayer, no more than $10. I purchased E:WoM to play multiplayer games with a few buddies of mine. I even convinced those buddies to buy that game. I know that E:WoM's usage stats for the multiplayer were very low (I didn't even attempt it), but I attribute that to very few mentions of it by game reviewers (which says a lot) and comments about the mode made by avid forum posters. I feel privileged that I'm getting FE for free, but I wish that a multiplayer comp
After reading the Fallen Enchantress sneak peek, "Pre-Beta UI preview II", I think it would be great if there was a way to allow entries for modded content to appear in the hiergamenon. I think it would be a great place to put the information even if it had to be placed under an "appendix" since modded content is non-canon.
Just a quick FYI. Some of the trait submissions aren't appearing correctly in web browsers. I'm using chrome, and my trait submission is being cut off. It looks like longer submissions need to have a scroll bar.
I also play medium maps due to memory issues, but the few large maps that I have played have been more fun (at least initially).
The controvery around DD pricing isn't so much about the savings on box, DVD, and manual, it's about the overhead needed for a brick and mortar store, inventory holding costs, and many other issues that make up the margin between the typical cost of each product and what it has been sold for. That is why digital distribution should be substantially less than the classic approach, not so much the box and such.
<
This is a pretty decent interview. I didn't like Brad's explanation of why games that are digitally distributed cost the same as their retail counterparts, but that's just my own opinion. (Brad is clearly telling the truth, but I think the response was not the whole truth.)
I have a suggestion. Let us raze conquered cities by default and add a tech tree path that allows factions to keep/maintain cities. This tech path could be researched multiple times to increase the maximum production of the conquered city to 100%. Tech Name: Occupation* Level 1 (Martial Law): +50% Training Time, -50% Gildar Production, -55% Prestige/Population Production Level 2 (Civil Unrest): +30% Training Time, -30% Gildar Pr
Can the forum moderators PLEASE fix the issues with searching through the forum. Most of the time the search feature does not work. It's completely hit or miss when the feature works correctly, but most of the time, it is a miss. I'm viewing the the site primarily using Google Chrome, but for the other 20% of the time, it isn't working in Firefox either.
Have any changes been made to the XML with regards to quests, or is it largely the same?
Unless I'm mistaken, the link on the mods page to "Other" isn't behaving correctly.
I don't post very often, but I'm going to throw my opinion in here. I read the forums daily, and I've been following the game since it was in beta. I know what features were tested in beta, and how the features/systems work within the game now. I purchased the game on release, not because I expected it to be perfect, but because of the long-lasting potential this game has. I am part of the near silent minority that wants multi-player enabled right away, because I simply want what I pa
In most cases the game runs fine until around turn 50. Once this happens, the game becomes sluggish until it is near unresponsive. Most of the time, this does not affect the music as it will still play without bogging down. I can then close Elemental, run the game again, and play for about 50 turns before the problem reoccurs. This happens in ALL games that I start new or load from a saved file. I have checked my disk usage and know that whatever causes this error leads to a memory leak.

I have a new suggestion. Heroes of Might and Magic V had a ghost mode for mutliplayer. While another player's turn was executed, you could control a special ghost hero. The ghost hero could not earn levels, but could pick up minor resource boosts and influence actions on the map. I think that idea could be borrowed and expanded in Elemental. Players could control dead heroes and use the dead heores to spread their races influence across the map. Minor resources cou
I'd like to see multi-faction quests. For example: racing to complete the same quest "There are rumors that a powerful artefact X has been discovered in the northern lands. I want you to bring it back before faction X or any of the other factions can bring it back." For example: birthright quests "The first faction to pruduce an heir with attributes X or an heir that completes quest Y will receive reward Z." For example: ultra rare resouces <
Thanks for the info BoogieBac!!! I rarely comment, but I read all of the dev journals and many of the posts here!
Is there going to be a slider or color chart available so that players can change the complexion/skin tone of their units? If this option does not fit within the cannon of the main game, will it be available in mods? My username sums up my cultural background, and I haven't seen this question asked or answered in the forums. A lot of other games have this option and I'm hoping Elemental will too. Plus, it would make the overall in-game population of units look more div
I think we are in the minority when we say that we would be more than happy to test the game using the cloth map, but then again how many people actually join betas? I hope that this beta process is as great as GalCiv2's. Elemental is the only game that is forcing me to keep windows as a dual boot option. I'm sure this game will play great!
