I bet it will suffer from heavy consolitidis, it will be dumbed down to rat-in-a-canyon race, and will contain sequences when you will have to mash four colored buttons in pre-determined sequence.

My opinions on (most) blogs are expertly summarized in this excellent article (the whole page is a blog, of sorts, FYI): http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=banish
What I mind more is that these on-line digital content shops routinely give you price according to the region you are in. Many use the formula 1 euro = 1 dollar, so that Americans pay much less in result. When asked for explanation, the answer is that "Americans are used to lower prices". What bollocks is that? If I came to a physical shop, and the assistant would say: "The price is 5$, oh, wait, you look like you come from Europe, so it's 7$ for you", I could rightfully sue him/h
No English translation? What a challenge, I could even attempt co create one. But all I would achieve would be an imperfect result (I don't speak Polish, and I am not a native English speaker), and a lawsuit on top of that. What a pity - maybe after they make a computer about the trilogy. It would certainly make a nice story-and-character-driven turn-based strategy, something similar to King Arthur the Roleplaying game.
... and your "army of gold" spell really shines, I must admit that! I have lost four battles before I fully realized what's going on. Take care, though, impoverished inhabitants of your wilderness may start stealing your shiny soldiers ;-)
I can't remember how many times I have read such prophecies. I think from the rise of the first Xbox - periodically, over a few years, again and again. Sure, many genres have moved to consoles - particularly catering players with shorter attention span. Sure, casual gamers may look no farther than solitaire or farmville on their phones. However: 1) I have yet to see a platform that can run first person shooters besides PC. Sure, you have Halo, you have various "aim
I doubt anyone knew him outside the Slavic parts of Europe (Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Russia maybe), but I think he now receives growing attention thanks to computer games Witcher and Witcher 2. I won't write about the Polish movie adaptation of Witcher, because that was, plainly speaking a disaster. But all the Witcher books are worth reading, especially the earlier short novels. I think he can do short, focused stories much better than epic sagas. However, I wanted to recom
Seriously, I would not underestimate the nerd rage. It's a power that can level mountains and cast kingdoms into oblivion. I think everyone in this forum knows ;-)
Steam uses custom copy-protection - challenge/response authentication against the server, so it always wants to install its own version of game binaries. That's why patches often come late, because they must be adapted first. AD Civ5 - I was too dismayed at first, but with the latest patches, it's an okay game.
I don't believe FE will be a bad game. I think it will be marvelous, beautiful, deep, innovative, feature-rich, hyper-optimized, and that it will caress us with its excellent and varied gameplay to countless gaming orgasms. Metaphorically speaking, of course...
No refunds, I say! By purchasing the game, you have sealed an eternal and infernal pact and are hereby cursed to sail this ghostship forever...together with the ghosts of other poor owners of Elemental. This be a cursed ship, landlubber, hahahahaaaaargh! At least, there is a lot to do here while waiting for the eternity to pass. Care for a friendly game of Dominions 3? :-)
ElenaAhova - okay, no more words about you.
dojango - Hello and welcome to our game. Thank you for the time you will hopefully dedicate to the game, allowing us to go on and possibly finish the game one day. I can say that all of the players are quite tired already (I know I am).
I'd say throw a pepper shaker with bunch of chillies and stir vigorously. Other than that... I just don't know.
Yes, because of me. However, I would be interested in playing 1.84 CBM game, so I would sign up. This would be my sixth game, so I can't be considered a newbie anymore (I guess). I would sign up only if ElenaAhova does not mind. If she does, I withdraw my application - and we are even. If she does agree, and she still hates me for what happened in the Elementalists game. she can have her revenge in this game, and that would make us even more even. If she does not hate me, we
Speaking about LordXia's decision, is it final and unshakable? Let me ask you a direct question - is your busy work schedule the true reason of quitting, or are you unsatisfied with the game in some way instead? If it's the latter, there is no point persuading you, because there is no point playing a game you don't enjoy, but if it's the latter, I would try to find some solution that would involve you staying in the game. Would turn time extension to 72 hours help? I myself am
Thank you very much, ElenaAhova, I appreciate it. I don't have anything against you as a person, and I recognize your potential antipathy towards me as a person completely legitimate, and I would also consider your nation's unconditional hostility towards me in any new, fresh game we may meet also absolutely legitimate. However, not every decision is conscious, and I still think that you as Tien Chi in this game would subconsciously play not to win, but to have revenge on me. That, in
I am not okay with this, because the previously created inter-player relationship will be carried over to the game. I would rather see a fresh player that has no sympathy/antipathy with the current players. For obvious reasons - we had rather peaceful relationship with Lord Xia-led Tien Chi, but I doubt that would last in this case. It would be far better if the new player formulated his/her plans and diplomatic agenda without any kind of bias.
Ugh no. It would be impossible to keep up with a game having to sift through the posts from 2 to 3 other games. Is it really a much of a hardship on you?
5 globals is indeed a limit. After that, you must overcome some existing global for your spell to succeed (replace the old one). Basically, what counts is the extra levels over the level required to cast the spell - it counts as five gems per level (so if level 7 death mage tries t
The more, the merrier! I am currently sort of tired from a prolonged war with Pangaea, and I will probably have some time off when it ends. However, I deeply love dominions, it's a fantastic game. I don't think Stardock should be mad at people starting games here - after all, we come back, that says something about our feelings to their company. Elemental might not have been the best game ever, but when Fallen Enchantress is released, perhaps we rush to play it instead of Dominions!</
wonderloss, I would need to postpone 12 hours this time, I hope it's not a problem. Thank you.
Who would bother building a boat when you can terraform seas out of existence...
I absolutely support what this thread stands for! No more DLC tricks! As an example, I bought my really very last DLS for EU3 - eastern and western custom sprites. They are rather nice, really...
Marverni, Tienchi or Agartha seldom posted even when you were here. All the diplomatic niceties are over anyway. Now it's just a silent, desperate struggle for survival with few rules.
The problem is that the predominant growth and expansion oriented paradigm that prevailed in violent clashes with more peaceful, stable and steady-state societies will now bring a huge disaster on itself via population overshoot, resource depletion and environment destruction. The Animal has eaten all there was to eat, and now is starting to chew its own tail. In other words - the only sustainable, stable systems are those that move in a circle. Pre-industrial, isolationist Japan was
