I always find it amusing when people say games are 'too gamey' and not real life enough, then load it up and blast a couple of dragons with a wand of freezing. In every game there will always be strategies designed to exploit game mechanics. It's impossible to avoid. If you want realism, play the game with your own house rules. Otherwise go kill some dragons in real life and don't bitch.

Well I've been trying it out and I'm very confused. The player doesn't seem to be automatically placed in player 1. In fact, I've ended up in the start position 2 slot most often (with any number of players). Setting only a starting position 1 seems to lead to me starting in a random position on the map. Are there any solid rules written somewhere about this?
Does setting 'starting point 1' in the map editor signify the position that I will start in? Can I do this for only my starting position, and let the ai have their start positions be randomly assigned at the start of the game?
They weren't hurt in the slightest :(. Must have been a bug...I'll try replaying the battle. Spell immunity sounds like a good idea lol, I've only used it on some champions up to now but buffing my armies before battles is probably wise.
So I'm a couple of days into an epic game with ridiculous ai, and having absolutely massive amounts of fun. Game is stable, runs well, and AI has much stronger economy and army size than I do. I have a crazy tech advantage so I march into battle with my squad of advanced uber soldiers (160 combat rating per squad) and my vastly levelled up champions. Ceresa casts 'wither' on my squad which took 35 turns to build. One shot....dead. WTF? I can't find a description
I can run it very well with all settings on except AA. I have a core 2 duo and a 9400M. Maybe you should check your drivers, or maybe it's an AMD thing...
Can you guys post your system specs please? Just to get an idea of what's running and what's not. One of my machines is a T8400 with 9400M and my performance is great (only thing I have off is AA).
@Aeon221 You sound insufferable. I bet if I met you in real like I'd hate you with a passion. It's bloody obvious that the demo video is just a bit of fun showcasing some game mechanics, I doubt he's even paying much attention to what he's doing.
