Same here, 25 crystals and nothing happened.
Capitar is a nation. Can't recall what the name of the town is in campaign. The one you went to before founding your mine. Make sure you have 25 crystals and send a unit to their capital. I hope it isn't a bug that's stopping your progress.
Well I have way more than 25, but in my list. Is there a way to let a unit carry it? It is, alas indeed stopping my progress.
Pft... Civ 5 doesn't even run. It crashes every few turns and is unplayable here. Elemental at least worked when it was released, however buggy.
Ok I fail to do that too. What is Capitar`? There is a city called Altos, and a fort. When I walk with my units to the city, nothing. When I walk to the fort, it says some "hold his sword and get the crystal" thing, and blocks me. I have plenty of crystals, but how do I bring them? I sent all sort of units. Can someone please tell me exactly what to do? I am lost. Thx.
Tbh, I find it for what we get overpriced. Even considering it runs stable and smooth. Way too less content for that money IMO.
Good speech, my friend. I have the same background of getting to know Stardock as a disappointed MOO3 gamer, heh. I too have been a silent lurker all the years. And I too hope and think we must focus on what to do now. Good ideas all of them.
I can agree to the text and the verdict. The text means critizising what is amiss, the verdict 70/100 means giving it a chance, which it deserves.
Well, hearing about Stardock being in difficult waters, I feel I wanted to say that. You have my support. I bought the game, and even tho I feel atm it isn't really playable and needs much extension and rework for some months to come, I won't sent in refunds and won't write bad reviews. It's a decision of loyality. Why? Stardock has brought us good games in the past, and I don't want them to perish. I know they can make good games yet, and they have been honest and open about
OMG! Me wants! :D
I actually find late game micro management a problem in most 4X games. That's why sometimes I'll quit and start a new game, I find the early and mid game more interesting...
OH YES. The endless number of Civ empires I never finished. Usually in last third of any such game it's either clear win or clear loss. But I agree with the OP. I always have this feeling the world is spiraling down into chaos the
*nods* As someone who played Galactic Civ. II for years, I can feel with the reviewer. It's just very frustrating to have paid now, and essentially I have to wait until end of the year to really play it.
I wanted to make a new thread, since the title here wasn't saying much what this was about. Difficulty. Maybe you, OP, make a more clear title. ;) Anyway, YES YES and YES. I SO feel like you. Like you I played Civ, Heroes of MM and whatnot for YEARS, and yet, no matter what I do, there is always one enemy faction compared to which I am NOTHING. I was just overrun by a Krex army of 350 power rating, and even tho the game was just 150 turns old, my best army was 170 and t
I think it is now obvious that Elemental was launched premature. It is not only the bug, the bad performance. There are many feature apparently not working at all, like controlling elemental shards doesn't do any affect I notice. It is also the many things not really tested and thought over. Take magic. It just makes no sense. Summoning is useful, but anything else does so minimal damage and misses so often, it is near to hilarious. Or creatures. How can it be my map i
Yes I agree. Summoning is useful, but other than that, I feel magic is a waste of time.
Yes, I agree. Summoning is quite useful, but every direct attack I have seen is a joke and pales to everything you can do with swords. I feel exactly the same as you, OP.
With the most recent patch, the crashes have considerably worsened to the point where it's unplayable. Loading crashing half of the times. And ever so often the game crashed on me, playing my random continent game. Also... sorry to say but the performance is abysmally bad. I don't know where the performance get, because visually the game is nowhere near that detailled that it would justify such a slow performance. My comp: WinXP (SP3), Dual Core 2.2 Ghz, Nvidia 7950 with

Man that would be uber cool! I hope someone makes that! ^^ I so loved Ultima, mostly the single player series. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Okay, maybe some experts can pls explain me a few things abou the game. It looks very complex, and I am not sure about a couple of things. After seeing the game was still buggy, I stopped playing the Campaign, waiting for later, and decided to try a map of my own making. Since I always enjoyed map maping, I spent a few hours making a large continent of my own, with mountains, forests, rivers and whatnot. Then I distributed mobs, lairs and quests and finally NPCS, and it all worked out
Just thought to report some issues. - I am still seem to have memory leaks, even after Patch 1.01; the game gets slower the longer I play and then crashes. - Sometimes when I enter battle the map goes all white like in a fog, and I can only resolve the battle automatically.
Hm, I am not sure, but the campaign has no difficulty slider, yes? I hope they don't make it TOO strong, for I am not such a great strategician, hehe. ^^()
So found the campaign interesting, can't say much atm tho. However, over time the game gets slower, so I suspect a memory leak. Also after a while it crashes. So whatever it is, I suspect the game needs a patch to attend speed and stability. ;) Otherwise a tutorial would have been helpful, its quite difficult to understand at first.
