This is a huge improvement in starbase management. Good job! There is however one UI annoyance remaining, the "Idle Shipyard" prompt that prevents you from clicking "next turn". With this new system I would like to leave my Shipyards idle some of the time and waiting to produce constructors as they are requested by starbases. I don't want to have to shut down the shipyard manually and then resume it later when I want to order more constructors, and I also don't

I don't understand what this law is supposed to do. Making ESRB ratings mandatory? They are essentially mandatory already, since no retailer will carry unrated games. The only games I know that are sold unrated are some indie games that are sold only over the web, and whose small audience don't justify the expense of getting an ESRB rating, and some porn games imported from Japan, also sold over the web only, and the importers don't bother getting ESRB ratings since they would certainly get AO w
Sorry, what bug are you referring to? The only one that I know about is the one where you can build a starbase to extend your range and then kill the starbase and keep the traderoute, and I haven't decided how to deal with that yet.
Trade routes are listed with a negative number of turns (like "Current Turn -13/0") and the value of a trade route never changes as the freighter gets further away from the originating planet. The effect of this is that trade incom

I notice the trade route bug was not mentioned in the alpha changelog, and it's IMHO far more severe than the research cost bug. Is stardock on to this bug, or has it been overlooked?

This seems like a bug to me too. In DA you could make a couple of hundred each turn from trade without much effort, once the trade routes had been running for a while, and a lot more than that if you optimized your trade strategy. But in ToA trade income is so low that it's completely insignificant. The money would have been useful too, with the high maintenance costs you have to pay in ToA. The fact that the "current turn" is a negative number, and the max value and current value is

It annoys me that when you upgrade a ship design, all weapons and modules are removed. I like to tweak my designs constantly, and having to re-add everything when I just wanted to check if I could squeeze in another weapon after researching a new miniaturization tech gets old pretty fast. How about leaving these components in, and instead having a button "remove functional components" in the ship designer itself? That would be easy to use and make everyone happy!
