This should have been fixed for 1.7 (and was, in my case). If it isn't, you might want to submit your save to Stardock so they can investigate & fix it.

Very useful against those high attack/low defense barbarians that start showing up later in the game, you know, the ones with 187 attack, and 8 defense? So you soften the enemy up with archery, then when he moves up, you cast 'Deflect' on your most powerful attacker, and have 3-4 a

Suggestion: Give all mounts a small attack bonus, to make mounts in general more powerful, but give wargs a bigger one (they're predators, after all). Have all mounts keep their action point bonus, but take away the warg's world speed bonus, as they're really not built to carry large loads long distances. Then maybe give wargs a movement speed bonus in forests, as that is the wolf's natural habitat?

I'm pretty sure the five tile thing is only for claimed resources. Any resource within 5 tiles of city center will supply it's resources to said town and have appropriate multipliers added. Also, you can build your town up to the resource, and the city wall expands to enclose it, protecting it from pillaging. Resources further away still contribute to your empire, but don't have multipliers added. E.g. a gold resource within 5 tiles can potentially provide 5 * (1+.2(le
Thanks for the tips, but i have a new question. When I imbue it cost 4 essence not 3. Why is that?
I believe it costs 4 in the campaign, and 3 in sandbox mode. How much casting capacity you actually lose depends on how many multipliers you have from temples of essence, shards, and techs. So for my previous example of 4 cities each with a temple of essence, a caster with 15 base essence would have a casting
In sandbox for Kingdoms, if you research the diplomacy group and follow the 'Unexpected Friends' line for 4 levels (all orange/red techs), you'll get a tech that will spawn a dragon roost, allowing you to recruit dragons in the city whose influence it is in. Empires have a similar line, iirc. There's also a level 4 quest that will give you a dragon.

RNG pwn U! Basically. That's one of the current issues with the game - inconsistent damage. It's really, really frustrating casting a spell with a name like 'Infernal' on a group of low-level spiders, fire crashes from the sky in an awesome display of magical might, the smoke slowly clears... and you've completely missed half of them. I believe it's being worked on, however.

I would totally play a Lyonbear civilization! [e digicons]:)[/e]
Thinking about how I would be playing the game: if Sovereign loss cost is too high, I would simply save before each combat, and load if the result is not to my liking. That would negate the whole point of imposing penalties for losing the fight. So, speaking for myself (and, I suspect, a great many gamers who are not nearly as hardcore as most of the people here), imo either the cost has to be 'just' but low enough that most gamers will simply take it and get on with the game, or
