While I am aware that grandchildren can change sides, it is not a significant chance. Ultimately speaking, my issue is really that I should be able to choose not to arrange marriage and instead solidify my dynasty within my own borders.

I tried to balance the weapons so that any weapon was usable throughout the game if necessary. Is the short sword too powerful for the entire game or just at a certain point? Suggestions?

I used to agree that the vigilant demon was way over powered, and then I went up against them with an actually powerful group of units. The average hp of a party is around 20 to start and by lvl 3-4 is up around 60. I have played a game where I had one stack with 2000+ hp, meaning you would need about 20 uses of arcane doom to take them out in the first round. Since a VD is basically worthless after casting arcane doom, this unit is only overpowered at the very beginning of a game. While I mi

I have seen alot of posts lately talking about Dynasties, but I have a specific set of concerns with respect to children and your family. Perhaps this may be a lack of knowledge on my part, but currently, there is no way for a child to get married without being married to a rival faction. With respect to male children, this is fine as the new wives are given to your faction an grandchildren eventual join too.This would be fine if every faction received an even distribution of male and female

I don't know if the following has been mentioned yet, so forgive any duplication. Recently I was playing a game on a Large map with hard difficulty and epic pacing and I ran into this issue. I was researching Earthly Guardian and with about 7 turns left to go, I received the tech which gave more spell books. I went into the screen to change my research queue, but when I did, my research for Earthly Guardian went back to 30 turns to go. I tried it several times with the same effect.

For anyone who has ever played the Total War series, this idea is pretty much spot on with their family tree. I agree that the sov should be capable of dying and a successor chosen. Personally I think having family member be capable of defecting would be cool. In general, I think it would be cool to implement an even more aggressive dynasty system so that not only does the sov have kids but npcs can marry and have families too. I have been working on this mod for a couple of days now, and while it is unfinished, I would like to start getting feedback on the current state, which is mostly the kingdoms weapons as I have been modifying the weapons in the order they are found in coreweapons.xml The Mod changes the following weapons to have different bonuses based on the weapon. I think this is the future of elemental. Right now, the game is all about attack rating which is pretty standard fair in a 4x game. However I think if abilities are added and balanced properly, then one weapon could have a high attack rating but still not be the best for all situations.

So I have been playing Elemental for a few days now, and like many people I came to the realization that combat seems to be highly focused on the attack power/combat speed of your units. After a couple days of thinking about it, I put together some interesting alt weapons using the monster abilities as a frame work. Below are a cedar Longbow which now gives units the poison shot ability and a war hammer which can maul opponents. To use add the you MyGames\Items directory in an xml file. Enjoy

There is a lot of hate for early galciv2. Having played galciv2 since release, I will say that it was a fine 4x game at the time, which was playable from beginning to end. Any one here play Master of Orion 2? The qa testers at microprose didn't even know they could make undefeatable ships ever. I recently went back and played galciv 2 again. While I think that game is incredibly deep, the game is whole anonymous. If I had to pick one thing I am really excited about, its the idea of having troops that are not just cannon fodder. While I will not be naming every troop like frogboy's kids, I can appreciate that troops and heroes effect the world in their own unique way.
