I made some changes, let's see if I can remember them all: I made city defenders (the militia you automatically get to defend cities) stronger. They will upgrade their armor and weapons as you advance tech. I also beefed up the groups a little on higher city levels. Let me ask a question, has anyone used the spell Consume yet, I haven't used it before but it is supposed to destroy a shard and give 200 mana. It uses the applytocaster tag. Assuming it works, perhaps the applytocaster tag only currently works on the strategic map.

Ah I see, I thought he was trying to do some kind of variable cost for mana. I don't see how you would be able to get around the applytocaster tag. Maybe if someone could explain in more detail what is trying to be done.

Then there would basically be no higher level monsters on the map because where will they be pushed too, if you consider that space is very tight between whatever factions you have in your game, plus whatever wildlands you have in your game, plus water, etc. there wont be enough room for monster lairs. If you have only a couple of AI then there shouldn't be a problem either way but with lots of AI I can see it being a problem.

I agree about utilizing armies on the strategic map. I was fighting 15 armies sent to attack me, I had 5 or 6 armies. First, 13 of those armies were stacked on the same tile so I just used that fire spell which attacks ALL 13 stacks and hurts them enough. I then whittle away at them. I use my 5 or 6 stacks to attack them and win each battle. They now have 9 or 10 stacks left. They should have all focused on maybe attacking 2 or 3 of my armies so that they could defeat them and then I would be

You can walk into an enemy territory and vice versa no problem. However, the AI can say to you, "Get off my land or there will be war" You can do the same to them. Ranged weapons can hit anywhere. As of now, I do not think they are planning to have terrain effects

I am going to upload a version of this mod soon so people can play it. Also, I will have two options, one with predetermined paths for heroes and one with the normal choice of paths. By the way custom sovereigns still work the same way with the predetermined paths option, there is no change to custom sovs. Also, I decided not to make mages stronger for now.

Disagree, plain and simple. I liked the original EWOM somewhat, although I didn't play it much after beta. FE was far better then EWOM and in my honest opinion, LH is the best of the three. I like it. Some of the things you want can be fixed. Monsters can be made to be more random for example, and stronger. You can make it so that lairs respawn in different spots so even if you destroy a lair, one might pop up some where else. Other things maybe can't be brought

If you create a custom sovereign, it will function as normal and they will select their path from the 5 at level 2, unless you edit the sovereign in the code to have a set path. So you can create sovereigns and have them choose as in the vanilla game, or edit their files so that they too will have a set path, does that explain it ? I don't know what you mean. You set the default path level requirements to 1. You then go into coreunits and edit the sovereigns with the path you want for them. When they hit level 2, they WILL NOT get an option to choose another path. They will just have the path you gave them at start. Instead, at level 2, they will get to choose a perk instead of a path. Listen. It is not hardcoded to choose your path at level 2. I was able to get around it. All of the paths have a level requirement in them. Just set the level requirement to 1. Then you just edit the coreunits file and give the unit the ability path that you want in the file. It will now have that ability path and WILL NOT get the option to choose a path at lvl 2.
