This game has not been in beta for 2 years, again, maybe you are confused about WoM being a different game. I am sure they are planning on fixing the crashes. Have you yet bothered to send in a crash file to them so they can investigate> Probably not. The game is not being released next week, the fact you can't understand this is mind boggling. Simple logic is wasted on you.
BlackRainZ
So am I not right DSRaider>
I have experienced the same thing.
The Fallen Enchantress is, I think I remember them saying, the Oracle Ceresa of Resoln.
I hope you all now see what I am saying about the ridiculousness in this thread. Darkehound obviously major failed to understand what Frogboy was saying haha.
I agree with the scale point you are making. It bothers me to no end that even by end game you are lucky if you have 2 to 3 thousand people living in all your towns. That is just retarded because by end game, a couple of hundred years have passed.
Awesome, first post!
Frogboy, the only value I see used is 1 So monsters either don't have this value or have just 1 as their value. What does this mean> Does this mean they either have intelligence or don't have it> But then there is no way to define how intelligent.
I was fighting yithril and having a very hard time. Those juggernauts are very powerful.
Mastroego, a lot of the things you hope for might just be possible. Why don't you post a long post in my other thread (suggestions on how to mod FE to make it better) and I will look into it. It will need to be in depth though because a lot of stuff would need to be changed. Spells revamped, probably shard changes, new spells, new spell requirements, changing the magic tech tree, etc. Let me know what you think there.
Well the thing which is great about FE is that you will be able to mod most of the things that some of you are complaining about. You can add in new armors and clothes, you can add new buildings, unique buildings, more spells, more monsters, different factions, etc. All of these things can be modded into the game. I am already starting to look into some of the things.
I see, that is interesting. I will take a look at those values and play around with it.
Mfrast, this thread started unproductive. How do you expect anything to get done? Your expectations were too high.
(taken from another post) I have another idea on slowing down pioneer spam (through modding) so let me know what you think. I was looking through the files and there are actually AI setting for expansion in the early, mid and late games, so these could be edited. I could make it so they do not care that much about expanding in the early game, perhaps more so in the mid game and then even more so late game, or some other configuration. What do you guys think?

[quote who="mastroego" reply="57" id="3212017"] Quoting BlackRainZ, reply 52I just can't agree with you Mastroego. The game is shaping up very well for me and I only have a few minor issues with it. Also, it is easy to see how things are different this time around in my opinion. People are mostly complaining about bugs and balance issues which can be fixed, they are not complaining about the core mechanics of the game, only a few are. I guess maybe that doesn't mean anything but
So far I have played 100 turns with the changes I have made. I am playing large map, dense monsters, dense magic and normal resources. Normal difficulty with my created faction and all default factions. Normal speed for tech and construction. By turn 100, I have 2 cities and 1 outpost. Tarth has 5 cities, don't know how they expanded so quickly, gotta look into their traits. All other factions have either 1 or 2 cities.
Comparing Africa to a ravaged and destroyed world overrun by monsters is offensive in my opinion. They are not comparable and you are talking about established countries who have vast wealth which is mismanaged. In this case you are a wandering nomad who starts up a city for the first time. You should be able to make these distinctions with just a little bit of thought. Don't get me started on who has been playing games for longer and who has played more TBS games.
I haven't noticed this, I will have to check it out.
Dispel enchantment works and I am pretty sure there is a graphical representation of a curse on your city above the city name. The same as city buffs.
Thanks MAdcatter, the auto unlock worked.
What I meant was, even without modding any spells, the Birth of Summer spell isn't showing up for me even when I am a lvl 5 Earth archmage. Which is weird because I think it should show up. But yeah, my new spells aren't showing up either, I will try your suggestion.
Solymer, I modded it so that factions can't start with 1000 extra gold, they only start with 150 extra gold. Kongdej, I am trying to find a solution that we can do until they fix it on their own somehow. In my opinion, this is a simple solution and I think will work. I might even increase the amount to 300 gold for a pioneer, at least for myself.
[quote who="Mhormal" reply="47" id="3211618"] OP has right to say he is not satisifed, and please dont tell him to go play another game and be "constructive. We have seen what all the postivity has brought us with elemental. I usually love star docks games, having a blast with gal civ and Sins of solar empire, i am not biased agasint them far from it they still get my money. However when i played elemental the first time i thought it was a bad joke they were doing to me. <br /
