Also, I don't know what is causing it but this happened in .95 for me and just happened now when I alt-tabbed out. Seems to only happen when alt-tabbing and not always, just sometimes. I go to the options screen when I alt tab out, when I go back into the game, it is frozen at the options screen, can't do anything. No choice but to ctr-alt-delete- end program.

I haven't had many problems with FE. I did have the save problem with .95 but haven't noticed it yet with .951
Anyone else notice this>> By turn 75, Pariden has 5 cities to my 2. I am slow with this sure, but they do not seem to have slowed down in building cities. They keep plopping down these cities and not building any buildings in their cities, don't get it.
I just started a thread, I saw an AI faction with a city built on top of a Magic Shard. This must be a bug.

You cant make it so that Pioneers do not build outposts. It might work for the player but the AI will still build outposts with pioneers. I already tried to do this. You can stop a faction from being able to build pioneers but then they wont be able to build cities or outposts at all. Even if you design new units that can, I do not think they will use them to do it.

Doesn't matter what Breon's letter says. The epic quests are not related to the master quest which can win the game (if that is what you are talking about) As far as the spears go, it doesn't matter that those are the same damage, the game sees the regular spear as a better weapon for some reason. I don't know what to say about the warden thing then.

I still disagree. I like the per essence aspect of the spells. As long as the AI can use them as well I don't see what is bad about them. I don't mind some changes here and there to it but I do not think it is OP and it is not that easy to get 3 or 4 essence. In most maps I see, if any essence, just 1 or 2. Yes, given Pariden can build a building that gives an essence and there is the oracle which gives an essence but by that time it is later in the game. I don't know, I like it.<
We aren't getting FE from Gamestop I think. I think we are getting it free straight from Stardock (well those of us getting it for free)
Your making a statement that weapons should never make you move faster is not an objective truth, it is just your opinion and I disagree. A lighter weapon WILL MAKE you move faster. Have you ever held a dagger, and then held a giant 2 handed axe. You are going to move faster and be able to attack more with the dagger than the axe. Your logic is flawed. Of course there are other variables like strength, ability, etc. but given the same strength and skill the person with the dagger will be fast
There is no research requirement for quests. You can do epic quests any time. Heal is 8 + 4 per shard. The 32 is probably factoring in bonuses from abilities and stuff but actually they don't affect healing spells (I think) so the amount being healed is right but the amount stated is wrong ( I think anyway) When upgrading units it upgrades them to the best possible weapon, it doesn't matter if enchanted or not. Why should you never be faster with some weapons but not others> Faster weapons make you move faster, but I agree that has nothing to do with casting spells. Definitely need to increase power on magical staves but I think they scale with shards (not 100% sure)
I didn't think about just increasing production times for pioneers because I feel like they will spend too much time building pioneers and then it will be mid game by then and they wont expand as much anyway. I would rather it took less turns to do but cost something so they could only do it when gold is available. The new version coming out this week might fix the pioneer spam problem anyway.
I don't see how Flamedart is a useless spell. My Flamedart does like 80 plus dmg. It depends on circumstance I guess. How many fire shards you have, etc.
Derek I hope you get a chance to read this. PLEASE make factions develop in a way that plays to their strengths. Queen Procipinee of Pariden SHOULD NOT be leveling up as a warrior, nor should her faction play like that. She is a sorceress and should be focusing on magic. Her units should be mostly magic related, etc. Other factions should play to their strengths, etc. If I am going up against Pariden or Resoln I should be thinking to myself, better start producing some
All quests are available at start, you don't unlock them. I don't know what happened in your game thiotes. Try deleting all created factions and sovereigns, then reinstall maybe.
The reviewers reviewed WOM before it was completed (fully patched). The last version of the game isn't that bad, especially if you use the end of the war mod. As for crashes and stuff, of course they should be fixed. Most of your complaints were not about crashes but silly things like putting in useless buildings and costumes. Not that I would be against them adding more content, even costumes.
Yes, pioneers cost gold, that is what is stopping the Ai from spamming them right now. They cost 150 gold to produce.
Hehe, my changes should be null for the next version but that is okay. I am happy if they fix the issues on their own so I don't have to do it. I will still make some changes here and there though and it is good to get experience doing it in case I decide to mod something different later.
