To the OP: When you USE sentences with RANDOMLY CAPITALIZED words it makes what you say SEEM to be REALLY IMPORTANT when it frankly ISN'T. Stardock are not only handsome manly beasts, but they are also the only down-to-earth game developer ON THE PLANET (caps clearly for extra superly-duperly emphasis) that actually listens to their customers. Don't knock them because you are paranoid about giving your name out on the internet. SDC is great and extremely convenient.

Totally agree with many of the above posters. Take your time Stardock, your work is already fantastic, more time can only help to keep it that way.
This is very simple, I am not sure why you guys are writing walls of text. Stardock owes no one ANYTHING except for the original retail release of the game (should the game have been acquired legally). They already provide MORE then that. Essentially EVERYONE is free to play this game as it can be obtained legally (through retail purchase), marginally legally (through second hand), and illegally (through piracy). Due to Stardock's OVERWHELMINGLY generous philosophy of not including copy
themocaw, have you ever considered writing a novel (if you haven't already)? You should.
Awesome story! Keep it coming!
Why does "every" computer need to be patched All my other games (DoW, Civ, SC, SMP) all have downloadable patches that I get with my mac. this system is way worse. It comprimizes my computer. Plugging the internet in to your PC "comprimizes" the computer? What the heck do you have on that computer? Nuclear launch codes? Trying to protect from a Cylon infiltration or something? StarDock does
Hah, awesome review. Especially with Col. Tigh. He's frakin awesome.
Yeah, I hope Brad and Stardock was as successful with DA as they were with DL. DA is a great game and I hope the numbers respect that fact. SD has earned it.
I personally feel the pace is fine, ships seem a bit slower, but other than that, feels great (better imho).
I always rush the econ techs. That along with one farm per planet (and around 4 or so econ buildings) means that I blow away the AI by the mid-late game.
Good to hear Frogboy.
Alright, I understand that kryo, but a ship that can stand up to 800 damage? With tech maxed out is that possible (and still have the ship have enough weps to do dmg)? And since DL ships always seem better then what you have, when I get to massive hauls and maxed techs, won't it be like 1500 dmg? The scaling seems a bit messed up.
Not sure if this is intentional, or some goofy aspect of the new combat system, but I am finding it impossible to kill a Dreadlord Dreadnought. In my game, the DL ship has around 800 beam damage, no shields. The fleet I am attacking with (three large ships) has about 400 beam damage, again, no shields. Now, my understanding is that this fight should end with a dead DL (since the first round will deal more damage then the ships HP) and TWO of my ships dead due to the fact that on the fir
Hopefully Stardock will add an option within the game to reset the races rather then forcing us to delete config files.
