The main problem with xp split is that you rarely have two champions in a stack. That means that there is no reason to try and pick abilities that compliment other champions, which in my opinion is a real shame. It also means that i try to have just one hero do all the exploring while the rest a just standing around cities. All in all i agree with the op, that the xp split is a bed design decision. It simply takes some of the fun out of the game.

Do you have a release estimate?
The problem is that these guys were convicted before ever seeing the inside of a court. Which suddenly happens a lot in the US(Guantanmo bay and the patriot act). I myself do have doubt that they are the ones who did it. There is a good chance that these people were set up. I don't trust the American government or military AT ALL. These people are so corrupt and dangerous that I have no doubt in my mind that they are capable of committing false flag attacks. They have been
Some really great ideas in there for sure.
The "maybe it should" was referring the the sentence before. I added a period though :)
I just did a quest that gave me a collar that can control a twisted unit. I do not know what a twisted unit is, so i tried the collar on a random unit. It said that it did now work on this type of unit, but the collar disappeared anyway. And what is a twisted unit, i think the description of the item should say that.
I played my last game as a mage, and have been trying to use the familiar effectively in combat. I have however big trouble keeping it alive as it has so few hit points and is constantly targeted by enemy archer like characters. The new combat setup is not helping either. The familiar usually start close to the enemy and gets killed quite easely this way. It should realy always start in the back, the same as archers. I suggest either giving the familiar more hit points or
Very nice post... i agree completely
Dwolf63 it has nothing to do with the file you are downloading. Maybe you could try to describe the problem a bit better. Have you tried to disable any virus protection software you have running? It takes quite a while for the file to extract after you start the installation, have you tried just waiting a while?
When your whole army dies, the heroes can get negative traits. I already got one
I got the throwing knives quite early in my game, but have been unable to use them so far. Either there needs to be better explanation on how these works or the bug needs fixing
This is a pretty simple question. Have any of you found out how to choose stats (STR,INT...) or how they are generated when making a new character?
No worse than the mouthbreathers who started an underground campaign to lowball the game, most of them before they even played or pirated it.
I have heard many people mention that this has happened, but I have seen no proof and have heard no reason as to why they would do it? I was one of those people who gave it a really low grade on metacritic. I was really really disappointed with this game as the Origina
I think it looks sweet.... I don't care about the graphics not being top notch. Gameplay is all that matters, lets hope id delivers in that category
I agree on everything said here... especially on the tactical battles which has ruined the game for me. And i also see no evidence of the physics engine being used at all, which is quite a shame. I have stopped playing the game, and will come back to it once this has all been fixed, as I'm sure it will. A can't help but thinking that this game shouldn't have been released for another six month.
I always found it hard to visualize in my head, that huuuuge number of stars. But then i found this video, which put the universe in a nice visual perspective for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAVjF_7ensg&playnext=1&videos=la9uFlEflM4
Quoting Frogboy, reply 249 In Beta 3C, spells go right through armor which was a bug that was fixed. I would eventually love to have magic mitigated by magical resistance, rather than mundane armor.
I agree.... How would armor stop a lightning bolt or a fireball
The action point system is set up so that those with a high combat speed can basically go to down on others. We do not want to hook this up to endurance (strategic map movement) because the two aren't really related. The idea is that someone with a very high combat speed can do a lot of harm in a single tactical turn. But high combat speed is useless without attack power. You can be really fast and not be able to g
the current oversimplification of tactical battles reminds me distinctly of the oversimplification of battles in GC2. brad likes to think of his games as glorified board games in which all the numbers can be traced by the player almost as quickly as the computer comes up with them. this is a noble purpose, but it leads to some ridiculous situations. anyone could look at the GalCiv battles and notice that it didn't have any mechanics at all to demon
Looks like really nice changes! [e digicons][/e] but now that the possibility for guarding choke points with cities is almost gone (I think its a bad idea to use cities like this anyway), I think it could be interesting if it was possible to build something like forts/defences. Maybe a fort could be made up of something like 1-4 squares that you choose. The bigger, the more costly. This would also put more emphasis on tactics and navel landings t
