Since the bug affected all ships once it hit I thought it was a more general thing, but after deleting all ships en route somewhere, freighters included, then pressing end turn, nothing went wrong. I could then reload and proceed as normal, this time without deleting anything, and everything seems ok. Very peculiar, and I thought I'd tried that approach when it happened in my last game with no luck. Oh well, if that workaround works and it doesn't happen to often...

I have the exact same problem, it has happened in both games I've started after recently installing the game anew and updating to 2.03. I have played the game and it's expansions now and then ever since it came out, but never seen this before. And reloading a previous save, whether quicksave or autosaves, hasn't helped, as the bug reappears in the same place over and over, whatever I try to do differently. And once the bug has appeared, it's there also if I reload a previous save whic

I'm an avid Alpha Centauri player, and the way it works there would be great here to, at least for ships. You tell them they have violated yoru territory and you want them out ASAP. If they like you\are weaker than you they comply and their units are retreated to their nearest base. If they don't like you or think you're a wuss you get "You don't tell us what to do, vendetta upon you!" One thin

Now the AI needs to learn to consider strenght of allies before attacking. Had a game where they kept declaring war on the drengin, who was weak but also my trusted ally, and I had untouchable fleets. Or are they just suicidal anyway when it comes to smiting evil?

"#5 You can play a quasi-Hot seat game with someone by loading up the game as GalCiv2 cheat (use the cheat parameter). Then when you set up the game, you let the AI play out a few turns and then have your friend pick one of the races they want to control. Have them select that unit and hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z." I tried that, but couldn't figure out what it means\how to do it. And no-one else seems to know (or feel like answering my "how to"-questions). How about implementing a p

Well if you are of one alignment, and the race's relation-report towards you have a -Your ethical alignment , you can assume they theirs differ from yours. Other than that, I don't know Well, also, some have more evil-ish backgroundmusic while negotiating than others, I'm sure some conclusions can be drawn from that. Oh, and also, as I in my last game

I decided to make a research-planet, finding a 19 planet with a precursor artifact tile (+300% research, it says). Now, I have on that planet the initial colony (+10 research), 4 xenolabs (+9 research each) and 2 research centers (+12 research each). So that's 10+36+24=7+ research. And that's what it says in the summary of the planets various productions. But one of the xenolabs is on the +300%-tile, where did that bonus go? Is it hidden?<br

Actually there is a way to play hot-seat in the released version. But it's unofficial. I'll talk to the team on how to officially document it. Bump for officially documented hotseat

Torturous? Heh...me and a buddy of mine frequently play hotseat Alpha Centauri and MoO 2. To avoid the moving-about procedure described above we implement a cunning system of 2 chairs and 2 sets of mouse\keyboard Then again, if you're the highly competetive type you may not want your opponenet to see your moves, but we always play as friends and ga

Hi. I just stumbled acrosss info on this game, and as a big fan of the general genre I think it looks great and I'd like to get it. But, I hope someone can fill me in on some infomation (being new to the whole thing I don't know much, nor where to find it really. Poked around this website a bit but didn't really find what I need). I see a lot of stuff about buying by downloading, preorders, etc. I live in northern Europe (Norway), and what
