I think I got something, maybe. I took a video of this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/ramloss.avi Please observe how I can make it jump 3 MB in usage every time I press the design units button, even though it's displaying the same exact thing every time.

No, it wasn't and it didn't come back down. I have seen significant increases in memory whenever the technology screen pop-ups when you are prompted to pick a new path (the 2nd screen you get, not the first one when you pick which of the tech choices you want), even though it should (in theory) already be loaded into RAM.

1. Every 5 turns. 2. Only when forced by a quest. That may be when the leaks start happening though... 3. As I described above, I've seen it creep 70 MB in the middle of a turn while not doing anything (not moving the display, nothing).

I was just sitting there and it steadily rose about 50 MB over the course of a minute right after I got a notification that another nation had built a unique structure. I was already in the neighborhood of 1.4 GB of RAM. Here is my saved game file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/jusfhere.EleSav and debug: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/jusf_debug.err

Here is my debug.err from the same saved game. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/debug.err There are a whole bunch of (Leaked Scene Node) notices in there.

Here is mine: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/1.EleSav On my system, usage starts out at 161 MB at the main menu, is at 604 MB once the game is loaded, and at 705 MB after 10 turns, going up from there.

I got it. You have to click on the sheild next to where all of your units in the city are listed, select the transport, and click "eject"

And another Out of Memory. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/Elemental0_98-2010-07-29T23-13-22-334.zip Both have occured while auto-saving the game, if that helps.

Inspired by the adjacency bonuses Brad mentioned in one of the beta 2 threads, I'd like to propose a much less micro-intensive suggestion: automatic city specializations. Based on whatever type of building is most prevalent in a particular community, you'd receive a % bonus in the production of said field, complete with swanky icon to show you what you should concentrate on in the future. As an example, if you have a lot of schools and other research buildings, you get a 100-150% b
