Had this interesting problem where there were 2 spiders that were on the + between 4 squares. They wouldn't move but you could attack them by moving from say quadrant 2 to quadrant 1.

Is this what you are talking about? That is what happens when I alt-tab. That is all the way zoomed out btw.
