Just finished my first full game of Elemental LH, after restarting after a disastrous start of my first game (ala, WTF IS ESSENCE, etc). So after an 8 and a half hour game, here's what I noticed. Played on Normal/Normal and went for a Spell Victory. Also was playing a custom race that allowed 1 handed spears. For dealing with mobs, spears are just great (at least with men). With proper positioning, spear troopers annihilate city militia with proper use of impal

I've already seen it. Queen Procipine walks right up to a Forest Drake and... nothing. If I did that, he would have instantly attacked me.

BTW, I posted this in the feedback thread. It's still happening in .914. Oh, the Shrill Lord I think it's in the FOW, I would have died to it. But I had to kill a Shrill Army to move my Sov close enough to get this screen shot.

So, after giving my Champion reasonable killing power by modding my start champion, AI mobs that spawn close to my starting cities is no longer an issue. The big ones still give me pause (Drakes, Spider hordes etc), but a Troll spawning right next to my start location can be dealt with by a judicious use of mana. However, another issue is now giving me pause. The beast AI seems to completely ignore the sovereign AI. I just played a game where Magnar and I started relati

I've answered the questions below, but my main problems with FE so far are as follows: 1. The random maps are generally unplayable. It requires you to ctrl+N almost nine out of ten maps due to completely terrible spawn locations. I understand that random map generation is one of the HARDEST things to do. And I know it will take time to make it right. But it is something that needs to be looked at very closely. Maybe insert a 20 tile exclusion zone for large monster
I'm sorry if my reply came off as a flame towards you Seraph, it wasn't meant to be aimed at you.
I'm also sorry that my responses came off as flamebait. I agree about your part of frustration, but mine is more related to just being disgustingly sick the last five days. I apologize for letting my anger get the best of me.
All of us concentrate on what matters here, the game, and fixing it.
I agree once again. So how about this? Sta
BUT, you should NEED caravans to do it. You should NEED roads built. You should NEED a "Network" to do all these things for you. I don't want to load metal on a cart and make sure it gets where it's going. That's why I have Subjects in my Empire. To do the small mundane things for me. What I DON'T WANT is for it to all be "MAGICALLY" sent to where it needs to go with some invisible "Global" system when I don't even have any roads linking one city to another.[/quot
FYI, I have seen Raven's input and contributions to this game for the better part of a year now. If I had to choose where to place my "fandom" in, I'll gladly choose his constructive input over your destructive flaming of his constructive input.
Are you his other account? Because I'm certain, "Here I thought this was a Strategy game and not risk, which is a strategy game made for ages 12 and up. I'm a lot closer to "Up" and a lot less closer to 12" is the e
Oh, so what you're saying is All The Players would come up with a Strategy....damn.
All I heard was "hurp-durp." And I heard that because your point is that you just want more unnecessary micromanagement. There is no need to have to personally, one by one, build supply depots to send all your metal to the capital so you can send it to your port city so you can use it to fashion cannons that you then have to transport to your city on another continent so

I'm going to come out in this thread and say that I'm a MAJOR fan of global resources. a) It's intelligent from a gameplay standpoint. It alleviates the problems of unnecessary micromanagement. Why is it unnecessary? Because all of the players would eventually find ways to utilize far-flung resources and instead of us having to bend over backwards to do this, the game does it for us. The problem is that it's an unnecessary step. It adds a level of complexity that is detrimental to gam

This will probably be my shortest post ever on this forums: Add Tactical Battles please. Just transfer over SP to MP. Make Simultaneous Turns and add the option for Timers. The reason I say this is because I doubt most people will be playing Elemental with random strangers.
