Yes I want him executed!!!! It's like I research spellbooks and he steals my research and tries to sell me the spellbooks from his store for 60 gold each......
Captain Quirk
I'm pretty confident that the A.I just shops around for tech. In my current game I've out-teched the A.I (challenging) but they always seem to be shopping around for techs so I think they keep themselves in the game by trading techs with each other...which in my book is a competitive A.I
I just have to say this....I played one game of warlock and didn't finish it......I'm on my third game of FE and having fun. The fun factor is there for me. Sure it could be an even better game and has some problems...but it's fun and that is all that matters to me.
I reload while I'm learning the game, trying different tactics in tactical battles, test out some spells and stuff like that after I know the game I don't reload though I save every so often to avoid losing data due to crashes or small fingers pushing the wrong buttons (my 4 year old son sometimes wants to help out). The only times I reload in FE now is when I'm autocalcin and something weird happens then I reload and play it manually. I usually autocalc battles I know
I sure could have grabbed more heroes by knowing where they were by save-reloading.....
I don't think that autocalc takes into consideration the amount of mana I have to actually cast my spells, so when I have almost no mana autocalc is a better bet rather than fighting a battle I know I'm going to lose (this applies mostly to wildlands because else I can pick and choose my battles)
As I thought it doubtful that the OP had achieved what he had achieved I have played 41 turns on insane/insane difficulty. Custom Faction with Betrayers, Stealth and Scout with the -10 research as weakness. Sovereign Tarth blood, Adventurer, Water and Earth apprentice (for production and research) Brilliant (to offset the faction research penalty) Attuned (as I'll be beelining for Breon's letters and producing pioneers I will get precious little mana) and Porcipinee circ
Hmm...I just question how you managed 6 cities on a medium map with 8 A.I's and wildlands in the max. I barely managed 5 cities on Large map with 8 A.I's and default wildlands yet you claim to have 6! You have no civ tech so you couldn't have rushed pioneers. I am playing norma/normal game on epic with adventurer and betrayers and wealth and I also have champions on dense to utilize the adventure/Betrayer combo. I beelined for the civ
He was sucking on a teat from the day he was born!
please do LazyWacko I would love to have a little bit larger map. @Seanw3 how do you eliminate water? Custom map?
I'm curious about map sizes. I'm playing a large map and it says in my savegame map size 7x6. I don't find the large map particularly large, it get's crowded real fast and I start close to the other A.I's (given that I have 8) Is my memory failing me but wasn't the map in E:WoM much bigger?
Because players are full of themselves and it hurts their Ego to play on easy. If you would rename the difficulty levels and call easy normal instead then people would rather play on that difficulty. I am a veteran strategy gamer and I lost on easy on my first game, sure I learned the mechanics and am doing fine on my second playthrough on normal. But I am a hardcore strategy gamer and I have former experience with Stardock games (Galciv 1&2, SoSE) and I know better th
Easy in Stardock games is usually not easy at all. For me it helped a lot to get leather and spears quickly, without armor your troops are going down very quickly. I also find that elite troops are much better choice rather than spamming crappy but cheap troops. If you are rolling in money build more troops and go after the A.i asap because they are not going to stay peaceful. Spamming cities should be high priority early game because the A.I will be doing the same
I understand the OP. I did not participate in the beta but I'm a veteran strategy gamer. I started a game on easy/easy without playing the tutorial. I like epic games so I had a large map, epic researc speed with 8 A.I's and me with a custom sovereign. So far so good. Not knowing that I had to spam cities asap I was content with my 3, then Magnar came along declared and I grabbed 2 of his cities. The real trouble started after I met Verga and he also de
Ah....I took the Decalon and switched Scholar with Enchanter....that explains it.
I'm trying to replace Procipinee as a leader and I want to make a new leader for Amarians that is almost the same as Kingdom of Pariden. But I can't find the ability to build scrying pools like Procipinee has. I've gone through the coreability file without luck and I haven't found the file that contains the A.I leaders. Can anyone enlighten me?
In my first playthrough I went on easy/easy, large map, 8 A.I's, epic research speed. I was taking it easy killing monsters and having fun, learning the ropes as I skipped the tutorial. I had 2 cities and was planning on my third and fourth. Then Magnar shows up, grabs one of my city spots but I think, ok we can Coexist peacefully. I go my thing going killing monsters and stuff. He declares war on me. I trounce him grab 2 of his cities and am feeling prett
I must admit I'm impressed as well. I kinda lost faith after WoM but I guess this is redemption.
Og thessi er mun betri en War of Magic
You have to research spellbooks in the magic tech tree to aquire them
Well what I know is that I like this game and I am going to play it. I have started playing lots of games that have gotten good reviews but I have not enjoyed them, hence those games were not for me. That doesnt make the games bad as lots of other people like them. It's just a matter of personal preferance. But lots of people think confuse their opinions for a fact and give the game a extremely low score and try to push their opinion as a fact. I do
She wasn't in the same stack as my sovereign....so I'll try that next time around. Thanks.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 2 The Darkling Shaman's shrink ability now has a cooldown of 3 What? Nooo! That's it. Back to the store! Yeah I liked my champs to be ultra pint sized too
yeah it was ridiculus when my party of 3 champs was defeated by a lone darkling shaman spamming shrink. Everyone was shrinked before engaging him in comba
I have an escort noblewoman home quest. I have taken her to the estate but nothing happens. I took my sovereign along as well. Parked him inside the estate with her. Nothing happened so I left her there and went back to the inn with my sovereign where I found her. Nothing happens. So I guess I'll just have to make her wander into the wilds to get killed so I can get rid of the quest.
Thanks Brad. I just installed SDC like in the old days....just wish my Galcivs were there as well :) Edit: SDC has come through for me. No corrupt file when extracting.
