I agree to disagree. And I never said they didn't have the right to make any changes or none at all, in fact I explicitly state that several times. And I am calm, I like the site and am staying, I merely disagree that this site, in its current form, does not present an image of the community I am part of favorably.

Why is it silly? Spoofing is fine as long as the anonymity isn't abused. And it isn't. . . there aren't mass flamewars between spoofers, the tomcruise fellow wasn't flaming, I read his post. . .his statement, though a bit inflamitory, was accurate and polite.
Because at this point there is no real alternative to this site, the others lack ease of use and a good sized skin library. Even if I bitch, I still really like this site, and visit it daily.

The reason behind the lack of honesty is kinda cloudy. . . .This claims to be a site for the general skinning, but should claim, as is the truth, that they host stadock products, and if they have money for bandwidth (if that is the reason; many have mentioned that we wouldn't want to put any stardock employees out on the street by, gasp, embracing competition) they will host some other skins aswell. It's merely a request that the stardock folks not pretend to serve two masters.
I think that one reason there is a lot of discord over how the site is put together is because, as skinners, we tend to want things customized exactly. . .just a thought.

why do you not blame them? and I won't upload here, I don't like their policies concerning their rights with my work. It's not a matter of them caring because I represent a large or small number of people, they should at least think about it, or tell me why they shouldn't think about it, or tell me why I shouldn't ask that question. They should do this because I am a member of the skinning community, and as a fellow member, they should explain why they act in ways that effect the community ad
If you have to worry about getting a real username with skins attached exiled by vindictive admins for saying something they don't like, I'd say they are the ones with no balls. . . not that this has happened, but a fake user is insurance concerning that.

I've been away from the tread for the evening, and read through it. I don't see one thing tho. . . the reason for not changing the mission statement to be accurate. I really don't care about changing anything else, I just want an answer to this question: Why is the mission statement not accurate? It is a component of Object Desktop, by stardock, and you have to register OD to get object bar as well as a bunch of other great and good value programs. It doesn't come one its own yet, as it is still in beta.
