Up until the patch yesterday I've not had this problem before either. I've not made any software or hardware changes bar the update. So its a new one for me too. I have a Win 7 64bit OS, Intel i7 cpu, Radeon HD6800 series but I doubt it's a hardware issue. Seems more like a line of code that may have been introduced to help with city tiles inautoplacement mode, probably effecting players who've opted out of that mode. Its too rigid a bug, effecting too simular almost i

If you fix it please let me know what you did as I'd like to not abandon this game due to non optimal city placement.
Having the same issue myself. If my settlement isn't directly touching forest's (haven't noticed docks yet as all my river settlements are right next to the rivers so far anyway.) When founded then I can't build logging camps no matter how many acres of forest I destroy plopping down other buildings. Its definately not the too close to another city radius as I can build on the forest square thusly clearing the forest... however I have no option to build the logging camp improv
So I've started a Kingdom game with a custom Sov with the henchmen ability. Like the mechanic however I'm finding either theres a lot of arbituary rules upon editing them that I seem to be unaware of with no clues UI or otherwise on what exactly you can equip on them or not. Are you even supposed to be able to customise them like regular troop designs? As every time I try to once I've edited to my satisfaction and click save the designs just poof! All bar one that is and for the l
Is there a Death Magic equivalent? If not doesn't Spirit stealing seem like something that should be in the Death School rather than life? I only ask as after seeing the spell while I was playing a Kingdom game, thinking thats not somethig my Goodly Soveriegn would do (didn't clock it was life magic at the time). I started a new game as an Empire race Custom Sov with the Roleplay intent of playing a Sovereign who would hoard his power by stealing the spi
[quote who="Kongdej" reply="184" id="3193178"] Quoting Bellack, reply 183 And why cheat by reloading the game? Why is it cheating by reloading a game? I make tactical errors and I correct them, its my style of playing. and please at least let me have that in peace. I do not reload very frequently, but when something is breaking my game, and I mean 1 single mechanic, or 1 single bad decision hurl my game into the sewers, I reload. Sincerely ~ Kon
Okay let me start of by saying I'm really enjoying the Beta so far. The latest being the most fun I've had in any iteration of Elemental. You guys are definately on the right track. I also do realise with this being Beta all the things I bring up maybe candidates for change you guys have already thought about or planning to look at. I have tried to tailor my suggestions to things I beleive shouldn't be that hard to change or that may even be moddable by myself. I've also thoug
So it is a bug then. I've already updated and still nothing so not sure what to try next. Is there a way to update this topic to the bug section or should I recreate topic?
Okay so I've noticed in both beta 3 .90 and now .91 that the alerts on the right side of the screen seem to have dissappeared. I haven't seen one yet. However I'm thinking it maybe a bug or setting somewhere gone wrong, as I've noticed from time to time I get what looks like a scroll bar appearing on the right side of the screen where alerts used to be. However I can't do anything with it besides scroll up and down yet there's nothing visble that I can see scroll
There's a lot of talk about champion balancing lately... however I'm a little worried there's been no mention of more champion diversity. As it stands now any champion I pick up I don with weapons and armour, decide wether they'll be a mage or not and off they go to the nearest champion stack of doom available. Thats it. Now some of them start off life trait wise at least as the more academically minded heros. The ones who help stabilise Empires. The ones war h
The Exile of Ice quest not completing has happened to me too. Killed the fire lizards, obtained the staff. I noticed it doesn't show up in inventory though. Went back to the ice cavern (quest location) and I'm just getting the 'need to bring the staff of furnace pop up'.
Played a good few games of elemental before the latest patch and not seen any premade roads on the map of any kind... However just started a new 1.07 game and just through a ravine not so far from my starting area is a long, long pre civilisation (or so it seems) caravan trail. Now I've followed it quite a distance though albiet not too it source or end, (i'm guessing around 8 moves), not seen another city yet, and it forked once. I'm only about 15 or so turns in. I doubt any of the other kin
hmmm unfortunate. I just created a sovereign with no magical spellbooks. I had a plan to comncertrate on this sovereign as a physical hero, who later develops a magical affinity. Guess I better scrap that idea then. Unless there are other spellbooks you can unlock?
I seem to be having a repeatable problem with a caravan from a faction I'm currently neutral with just appearing in my city centre and getting stuck there, which inturn means its causing me problems with my ability to form a route with my own city, and just generally being a nusance. I have a save, (not sure how to add it to a forumn post here if you can). I've reloaded a few times to a turn before the caravan appears. There isn't anywhere in my cities vicinty a caravan that isn't my own befo
Which begs the question, can you protect your caravans automatically? via a tech upgrade or do I need to keep the trade routes clear myself with a unit or two?
