Braid's easily one of the best games ever created. I hope y'all jumped on it when you could; no "Shift"ing available here (well, you could wait until the next deal, I suppose).

What I would find most interesting is how people responded to the first question. I found that videos (whether trailers, cinematics, or the intro movies) all rated below the actual in-game graphics. After all, we are seeing the in-game stuff all the time, so obviously those would be the most important...wouldn't they. That's not to say that a trailer isn't important as a marketing tool to bring people in. It's only in comparison that it fails to be a priority.
DA:O has probably the widest margin of must-buyness to excitement in the history of all my gaming. In other words, I've had this on my radar forever and have been involved with BioWare since at least BG but I've never been so unexcited about a Bio release. At any given time when they give out new info they seem to cancel it out by wacky marketing. Doesn't matter, as it's been a will-have since before it was announced, but they sure know how to unhype a game. Gah. I've actually gotten
Perhaps this is an odd question, but what is the effect of being either "good" or "evil" in Elemental, if there is one (for the custom race-factions)? Is it purely a plot point that certain race-factions are good and others evil for the pre-made sets? It sounds like there was going to be the ability to choose, but I think the idea described earlier about having your actions determine your "alignment" might be a better way to go. You can have a single back story but allow the choices the playe
Excellent points made above about the "two races" vs. "twelve factions" issue. I'm interested in the game and even I had the same reaction, so imagine what people who are just coming to it for the first time are thinking. Variety is the spice of life and all.
Well, I'll vote for Fx since I've been using it since beta days. Nothing against other browsers from IE to Opera, but nothing the others offer would make me switch back. Switching to Fx was easy at the time, though, because it offered more than the competition.
I would prefer to see the options of Camp1 while, for those that don't want to delve into that level of management, there is also the ability to change the difficulty to make the choices either more or less necessary to accomplish the goals of a given scenario. Essentially, as the AI becomes "smarter" with the difficulty level rising, it is more important to manage the details. On an easier difficulty, the player should have the option to automate some of these processes so they don't have to
