Nothing here either. Once i even built a ton of farms on Earth just to see what happens. The population did go over 30 - 35 billions and still no lights. I have seen some lights on one of my planets though. It was a Class 8 with 10 billions, and they seemed like little squares when i zoomed in.

Anyone? I want to be sure that it isn't just me.
I don't think there is any difference between them. Maybe the habitable planets they support, bu that's it.
That would be really cool. But it would require too much time to be done and i'm not even sure that it could be done. They could do something like that in an expansion i guess, but for now i could settle with a cinematic camera that actually follows the action
can anyone answer me or is this question too stupid?
A sentence in a random event on Earth: 'What do you get when you mix thieves, liars and jack-asses? WHY, THE TERRAN ALLIANCE GOVERNMENT!' Just reporting it to be fixed
If i upgrade a ship design and save it with the same name to replace the old one, both designs will show up in the quick ship built window (the window that comes up when you press the far left button ofthe UI) with the same name. If i go to the planet's shipyard this doesn't happen. Sometimes this bug doesn't show up right after i've upgraded a design but a few turns later. Also a ship design that i hadn't rendered obsolete just dissapeared from the build list even though i still had a few
I guess i'm ok then
Another minor issue that i'm sure you're aware of. The cursor flickers all the time when i'm playing. Be sure to fix this in the next patch
Does this happen in high difficulty levels? I still play on a low difficulty level and frankly the AI players don't trade techs often with each other. They do most of the research on their own.
I know, i have already downloaded the whole game. So i guess it will arrive in 1-2 weeks or so cause the mail is sloooow. When will my temp serial expire?
I live in Europe and i have ordered the game directly from Stardock. Is there a way to know what's the status of my order? It's not that i'm in a hurry or something but i'd like to have a rough idea on what day it will arrive.
Thanks. I admit i haven't read the whole manual. GalCiv II is consuming me!
I don't know either (yes i haven't read the manual ) but i'm guessing luck brings you ...... luck? Just a wild guess
I've been hearing about pirates, terrorists even monsters (?!?) appearing in the game. I have never seen them and i'm wondering what do they do. Well i'm guessing that they attack you but where do they come from? I'm especially curious about those monsters
Well, the thing is that there isn't anything there! Even though both me and my rival have claimed many recources, none is listed there. Is this a bug or do i have to research some technology first?
I've been wondering for a while now why is there a Trade Goods category in the diplomacy menu. I've never seen it list something, so what is it for?
There are so many great ideas in this thread! All i want at the moment is an answer from the devs which of all those ideas are they considering, both short and long term wise. Wanna fill us in?
I've just notice in a random event where these "solar slammers" can be used above Earth to increase research the text isn't complete. It ends with something like this: "....even at lower capacity the risk". I don't remeber the text exactly but i know it's incomplete. I have also noticed a few more of those gaps or misspelings in some other things that i cannot recall at the moment. I just thought i'll report it. Certainly this shouldn't be a priority.
I have built an economic starbase next to 2 trade routes. How do i check what is my profit (if any)?
Although i have traded many technologies with the minors, after several turns the majors still didn't have most of them. I'll take this as an indication that they won't just give away techs to each other, which is very good for me. But it just may be because i'm playing on a lower difficulty (sub-normal). What's the case on higher levels?
I agree 100%. There is a need for a camera that follows the action better. In the screenshots everything looked great but it in practice it isn't that good.
I was wondering if trading techs for large sums of money to the minor races is a good idea. In my current game i was low on cash and i decided to trade most of my techs to the minors. I traded away about 8-10 to each of the two races and got money. I had about 2000 bc at first and ended up with 11500 bc. Although i gave away many expensive technologies (some of them military) i used the credits to rush buy critical improvements and ships that improved my overall economic and military position in
I had the same problem at first but i found a solution. I have have the Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 from Microsoft and the following worked for me: 1) I opened my mouse properties. 2) I clicked on the "buttons" tab where i could change a button assignment. There were 3 options: Left button, Right button and Wheel button. 3) I changed the wheel button's default setting(Next window) to Autoscroll and applied the changes. After that i could rotate with the wheel butt
God i hope they bring them back! I'm a strong supporter of them and i would be really happy if they return. But i don't worry very much because i believe the devs have many plans for the game to improve it. I love stardock for that!
