Hi, since last night I can't log in or post a game in metaverse for some reason. I get a message that says the server returned an unrecognized response and to try again later. Is there something wrong with my game or are the servers temporary down? The firewall isn't blocking my connection and it happens for the first time to me. Thanks.

I suspected that this was the case as I couldn't find a release date for Europe but I needed confirmation. I think I will just wait until they do find a distributor as I don't have much free time to play right now anyway. I know I can download it directly from stardock (that's how I got GC2) but I don't have a credit card anymore and I don't plan on getting a new one soon. It does sound like an interesting idea. I like it.
I suggest you read a couple of game examples the devs have made and then go play a few sandbox games of your own. You'll get hooked.
I think treaties should be breakable too. I shouldn't have to go to war with a race just because I changed my mind. The AI should be able to break treaties as well if it thinks it's in it's best interest.
I just realised that I haven't read anywhere what the improvements in DA will be as far as the AI is concerned. The AI, however good it may be, can always be improved (and I'm sure Brad is working hard on that) and I want to know what are the AI tweaks so far. Hope I'm not asking too much here. Thanks.
I guess they will add it in the next expansion along with the terror star (I hope).

I would like to see better graphics and special effects in invasions as well. I actually watch them butthey look so damn ugly. They should be on par with the rest of the game's fine graphics. Some people, like myself, want to watch every space and land battle. I like watching! I'm a Metal Gear Solid fan, what did you expect!
Excellent ideas Dano13! I especially like your suggestions about having an internal security slider, spies gaining levels and the 'active' and 'lay low' options. An espionage tech tree would be great as well. IMO Stardock should really think about implementing those ideas in an update or the next expansion (I doubt they would have the time to include them in DA).
Since I play mostly sandbox games and I don't install any mods, I figured why not post the games in the Metaverse? It's not that I really care for the scores and stuff (although the medals do look nice ) but it's a nice way to keep a record of the games you play since there isn't any offline 'hall of fame'feature like in the Civilization series, where I only play offline because multiplayer is too much of
Space monsters sound interesting but I would prefer the terror star! I hope they plan on bringing it back on the second expansion or something....

I agree with you, i don't want tactical combat either. The devs had explained why they didn't included it and it made perfect sense. Personally i would rather see better presentation in the combat screen for some truly cinematic battles but only to WATCH them, not actually control our ships. PS: Why aren't the polls showing exact numbers? I hate it this way.
