My guess is that it will not happen this week. Stardock has always released betas on Thursdays in the past. Seeing as it is now Friday, I highly doubt we will see the LH beta this weekend. Time to load up some Stardrive and give it a try. I will wait for LH. I would rather have a quality beta so I will wait for it. Not that I WANT to wait for it mind you. :)
Maybe they decided to let us who bought the CE ($80) before Dec 2010 will get first crack at it. Seems only fair we did pay the most money for that thing they called a game Elemental:War of corruption. lol
I bought the collectors edition. I am still waiting for my Steam key. I would love to play it this weekend if possible.
Did they give it away free to those who pre-ordered War of Magic? I just downloaded the game and noticed I have the mentioned maps available in-game. EDIT: Fixed a typo
Add my name to the list of PBEM. I would LOVE this feature.
Question on the Map Pack DLC. Will this carry over into Legendary Heroes?
I have noticed when I try to select units that are in a city, if I hold down Control on the keyboard and try to select the units, this makes my mouse VERY laggy. It feels like it is trying to hold the cursor in the area I first clicked (The picture of the unit I want to eject from the city). I noticed it was like this in WoM as well. I know it is a small thing and probably not on the list of things to get fixed right away, but it sure if annoying. I keep checking my mouse for a cat hair block
My favorite: Meat shield :)
4. I didn't see a quicksave/quickload option. Definitely need this.
Control-S will quicksave your game. I am not sure what the quickload key is or if there is a quickload option. Maybe Control-L?
I must say, I love the feel of the game. Keep in mind, I have only played the tutorial. I think I might have missed a few parts of the tutorial. I will have to go back and let them hold my hand through the whole thing. :) I think I skipped ahead. One thing I did notice right off the top was the wealth of information. Everything has a pop-up with useful info. So far I am loving it. It could just be the wow factor for now, time will tell. I will not be able to really
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I did pre-order WoM the day after it was available. They could be going in order.
(1) FE has over 3 different types of loot: Sausage, Gold, or Sausage (2) FE supports both 640x480 resolution with 16 colors OR 320x200 with 256 colors (3) FE copy protection is that the player is always connected to our server playing ala remote desktop. So there is no code on your machine. (4) Relate to #3, max FPS is 10 frames per second. (5) Music is handled through an optional Ad Lib sound card.
You should get your email in about a week.
I received my beta email this afternoon. You should be getting them anytime now. You can not download the beta until tomorrow, but the email will let you know if you are part of the first beta. Check your email. Mine came about 20 minutes ago.
All I can say is I am looking forward to Brad giving me a disease and cancer. It is like Christmas! I hope I get Dengue Fever !
I got my email for the beta approx 5 mins ago! Woot! *dances* Now to find that time machine.
Woo Hoo! It is the 19th in Australia! Where is my FE Beta?! [e digicons]:D[/e]
Just because the game uses the same engine does no mean it is an expansion. Morrowind and Oblivion used the same engine. In fact, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas used the same engine as Morrowind. Are you telling me Oblivion is an expansion of Morrowind? I am just trying to understand your logic.
Hey! Where did that talking frog go?
Gobble gobble gobble, bottle bottle bottle, gobble, bottle, vomit. Happy Thanksgiving!
Civ V is fun, but the end game is BORING!! I get to the point that all I am doing is plowing through turns to finish the space race. Hurry and build the parts. I got bored with Civ V quickly. I have been playing Fallout: New Vegas for the time being. I have completed that game once, about 75% done with my second play through so I hope EWoM 1.1 will be out soon. I have very little left to play and I have been itching for more EWoM! I am glad it is Thursday. I just hope the beta is released soo
"You're always preparing. Why are you always preparing? Just go!" You get a gold star if you know what I'm quoting
Spaceballs! Now where is my gold star?! :)
I played Elemental when it was released (I played some of the beta as well, but only a few games. AI was missing so the game was too easy for my tastes). The game has a TON of potential. It is currently a shell of the game it will be. I have seen the way Stardock develops games. I own Gal Civ 2 since beta. I have every expansion, also part of each expan. beta, and I know they listen to the players. In the end, you have a rock solid game with years of entertainment. I stopped playing E
Gal Civ and Elemental have a lot of game play that feel the same. If you enjoyed the gameplay and game style of the Gal Civ games, you will enjoy Elemental.
During the beta I married my wife while I was away from the city. I was out adventuring. Later, much to my surprise, I was notified my wife had a baby! Yeah for me!.... wait.... I have been away adventuring and I have been no where near my wife. How did she have a baby while I was away?! I shall hunt down the scoundrel who did this and remove him from the world. Was it you?! - Dave
