Been doing some experiments- large cities in the distance might be the problem- Maybe an option to keep people who are having performance issues from having to use the cloth map, would be to add a very simplified version of each city tile, maybe even a generic city tile that you can't distinguish from the others without looking at your improvements list. anyways, more access to different graphics options might help more users find that sweet performance spot. &nb

I Just want to say- I love this game's potential and I know it will be polished eventually. BUT the rendering performance HAS to be improved. I can play any other recent strategy game, shooter, whatever, with maxed out settings, crazy amounts of AA, and have great framerates. This game slows to a crawl as soon as I have uncovered about 20% of a tiny sized map. It doesn't matter if I turn EVERYTHING off in the video options and play at 1024x
