#8 by Citizen waitingtoconnect Wednesday, February 22, 2006 10:43 PM How about those of us in Australia who want a proper copy of the game and have pre-ordered at EB Games down here? Will we get a chance to get the special downloadable content too? Will you give us the same benefit re: serial numbers too?
doublethink
game crashed while saving (had a troop transport selected), now crashes when I try to load that save. first mission of dread lords campaign loaded an older save (phew) and quicksaved over the corrupt save. seems good.
Just had a quick bash of GC2 after digitally buying/downloading via SDC. The entire process was smooth, and pre-loading is the winner for digital downloads, since it only took a few minutes to get the last bit of the game on release. I did the same thing with half-life 2. I'd much rather all my cash go to stardock than via some publisher. gg stardock, gg. now if only I could work out how to play the game properly <img s
Bug Found: in this screenshot you can see a '/n' in the Planet Description: https://www.galciv2.com/screenshots/gameplay/humans59.jpg
I own a decent gaming rig, but I plan on buying a laptop for work. It will probably run linux, however, so I'll have an interesting time getting GalCiv2 to be emulated via wine/cedega! But if I stick winxp on it, GalCiv2 will be straight on there.
something like this worked for me (see link) note that I scanned the download with my anti-virus, but as always, it's at your own risk. Link
"AI in Beta 5 which previews and beta testers have argued is "very hard" was largely rewritten because it was considered by us to be inadequate. It was hard but not smart." Has the AI in GC2 been configured to "make mistakes" ?
typo for the blurb about a "culture bonus" - should read "Any cultural district built here.."
