what about customizable equipment in an add-on? Each piece of equipment, weapon, armor would have a variable, maybe upgradable amount of slots to which artifact could be applied, changing so their attributes. This would greatly add to the items variety

You are doing nothing wrong as I'm experiencing the same, simply put, the AI players are given considerable advantages, in other words, the AI is cheating like hell. To give an example: In my last game, after loading an earlier save I had created a few turns before, as I ended the turn, a message popped up saying that an AI player had built some achievement. Since I had already played that very turn without getting that message, I wondered how the AI managed to do this. So, I loaded an ev
I agree, I really don't understand the reason to make the game so frustrating right at the start. I've started so many new games lately and made each time the very same experience, killed by some high level monster or hero after a few turns. What I find annoying too is the fact that even on large maps you usually get an Ai player next to you so that you can't really expand. I won't play the game anymore until this is fixed
Well, concerning the effect lost of influence starbases, I think I can confirm it as a bug. I did the following test to check whether the influence effect lost (yes, I mean a massive decrease of my influence area) is due to a higher influence rate of the Torians or not (by the way, their influence rate is only marginal higher than mine): I destroyed one of the older starbases and built a new one exactly at the same location of the old one. I
Well, I haven't checked if these issues have already been reported here and I'm not sure if these are really bugs: In my advanced game I researched the final farm technology (advanced farming) but noticed that it yielded no bonus at all to any of my farms. After upgrading them, they keep to the value they had before (8 mp). I think this is a bug as there seems to be no benefit from this technological advance. Another issue wh
Doy you mean the propaganda funds? Yes, I did, I went as far as spending almost one third of my monthly revenue on this. It didn't help really. As with the other settings it raised the approval rate for the moment, but the very turn later it resumed to drop.
But it's my home planet which was affected by the dropping approval rate, and since its starting capacity was 15 mt/wk I don't see how to control population growth. After only 36 turns population had reached more than 10 B people, more than double than at the beginning. I suppose It would have continued to grow until the limit of 15 mt/wk. At this early stage of the game I simply don't have the technologies needed to keep them happy, apart from recreation centers one of which I built. Well, i'll
Well, at game start the tax rate was at 34%, I believe, and I did not touch it until I notice the dramatical drop of approval. So I lowered it first by 2-3 %, and afterwards, since this had only a short term effect, again to below 30 %. I believe it was at 28 % when I gave up the game. What I found odd too, was the extreme population growth. The game starts with your homeplanet having 5 M citizens, after only 36 turns (3 auto savings, that's why I recall this) the population size had more than
Well, may be this is not an issue and I simply do not handle it appropriately but I noticed that the approval rate in my home planet constantly drops by at least 2 % each turn. There is no way to stabilize it, neither by building improvements nor by funding propaganda. I'm at the beginning of the game and the approval rate has dropped below 50 precent though I built a recreation center (which temporarily raised the rate a bit) and spend 1 third of my income on propaganda. The lowering of taxes a
I preordered the digital download version of GC 2. and installed the game per Stardock. I know there is the possibility to make an archive for backup purposes. However I'd like to backup the final version on a CD later. As far as I understand it, the archive needs stardock to reinstall the game. So any future installtion would depens on the stardock service still available. Is there any way to get a backup copy on CD and bypass the stardock dependence? I'd like to ensure the reinstallation of th
Hi, I plan to preorder the game and I'd like to know how the download exactly works. Will I be able to download each upcoming beta? And how does the download of the final version work? Thanks
