As the title said, the game crashes every time I built a city with a faction different to Altar. The game crashes just befor the tech screen appears

Impulse is fine, except for non english-games. Lot of games has been published in non-english languages, but in impulse you can download only the english version. This should be addressed with the publishers, which, I suppose, are the real responsibles of this issue. Meanwhile, I'll keep buying the game in impulse, and looking for traductions in forums :P
2. At the moment, there are 3 categories: weap., arm. & equ. Will there be added any more? For example "training", which would describe the type of training that the unit has undergone.
I hope to find something like that, so that units can get some interesting abilities and specializations (for example, a scout specialized in exploration, a scout specialized in enemy unit spying, and so on...) based on their tr

I don't know if the new system will be fun or not (need to test it, lol), but as someones has asked befor me... Can modder add new research categories? Is going to be a tech tree or an easy way to know dependencies within technologies so you can easily know what to research in order to reach a given technology? Is going to be really rare technologies that only appears with a small probability and never turn into green? What about situational techs?
I like random and situational techs as long as they don't affect to key technologies or buildings. I don't like infinite research though, it tranform the research process into something boring. I think current system is quite interesting, although still need some work, but not a complete rebump...

Today I've been testing a bit for fist time in weeks, and, although I'm pleasently suprised by changes made so far, I still feel I don't know what's happening in my cities. For example: - Mi city population is growing, but I don't know why and when it'll stop growing. In Civilzation you know exactly how many food you have, how many food you produce and how many food your population consume, but here, you have to guess it. - After researching Farming, I've tried to build
This is the most interesting journal so far. As civ4 have proved, an easy to moddable game is something players (and modders, of course) really appreciate. And, about the question you posted, I also like to see a cluttered map and not an empty one. The more items, dungeons and structures, the better.
Well, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not... In one of my games, I met a neutral enemy party composed of a bandit and a wolf. When selecting the party, two icon appears in the left side of the interface (as when you select one of your own parties). Clicking in the small arrow that appears in these icons, you can separate the enemy party (as you can do with your own units), so in the next turn, both enemies sepparated and followed different ways, and I was able to combat them in different tur
I agree too. I've always make the same mistake, and end constructing undesired buildings
Initially there wan't any update tab, but I found a "check for updates" option that created the Updates tab. Thanks for the help!
This may sound a bit stupid but... how can I upgrade from 0.22 to 0.23? Is there any automatic patch system or do I need to unistall and reinstall?
I also think the map should resemble the mod Elven Map Redux for Oblivion screenshot below.. After Seeing and Image, I disagree strongly. That map is far too busy, and would detract from the purpose of the cloth map, as stated by BoogieBac. Consider having to get information on enemy/ally strength at a glance, that information is now competing to stand out from the map, instead of the map being subdued to allow that
I also think the map should resemble the mod Elven Map Redux for Oblivion screenshot below.
That's exactly what i said previously (but i'm lazy and didn't look for the pic :P)
Some of you have said that the clothmap don't need colour because we will be able to zoom and see the world with it's colour when graphics were enabled... but if the plan is to beta test the game with the cloth map, adding a bit of colour is a must, at least for being able to distinguish different kind of lands (as someone else said in this thread, I didn't know there were different kind of land until I read it here).
I think a good idea is to have something similar to the oblivion mod with the elven map activated, where the map gets some color when you explore it. Of course, colours must fit with the art style, but they will add some "life" to the map, which, in my opinion, is quite dull and does not help to distinguish between different kinds of land.
What i like the most, at this moment, are unit figurines. They look great Cloth map needs a bit of work, because it feels so empty...
The same should apply for other units, like scouts. Scouts should acquiere experience by scotuing, exploring dungeons, finding resouces and so on. But we also mus t take into account that the objetive of this beta is not to test game mechanics, so maybe these things are already implemented and waiting to be tested in other beta stages.
Beta forum is a bit messy, so I think it's a good idea to group all known bugs in a single thread to avoid posting bugs that are already posted. So here are User Interface related bugs reported in the forum: Scrolling problems Text is badly rendered and sometimes too small <a href="https://forums.elementalgame.com/364413" t
As Zebgopea said, tooltip are very annoying, because you always have to move the cursor in order to read the tooltip. Once you know the meaning of each button, it becomes a small issue, but for the first time, it's really annoying
I have similar problems with the scroll. Scrollin up and down works fine, but when scrollin to the right, the map goes to the left, and when trying to scroll to the left, the mao don't move at all. And onte time, clicking the map and dragging it with the right button caused the map to scroll to the left forver. I had to exit the game in order to stop it :P
