Thank you Nimbin! I too had this problem and I just Googled it and found this thread.

Yes you're right. It was the skin. I had fixed this issue late last night shortly after posting by simply using the option in WindowBlinds to use another taskbar in another theme but maintain the same theme. So what I did was I simply checked the box under XP overides and selected another vista task bar but I'm using the rest of the vista theme by Windows x and now the problem is resolved.
I have WindowBlinds 5.0 and I'm using a Vista theme by Windows X that enables the glass look. Everything is working fine except that when I boot up my PC the taskbar completely freezes up and it becomes unresponsive including my desktop. It appears that explorer.exe is freezing up and I end up having to reboot the PC several times before the taskbar finally completely loads and becomes responsive. If I unload WindowBlinds then I no longer have this problem. Does anybody know how to fix this? <br
I purchased WindowBlinds after September but how do I upgrade to it? When I submitted my email at stardock it sent me a link to download WindowBlinds 4.6 enhanced? Shouldn't it say version 5?
Be very careful if you do find a place to buy one. I read at cnn.com that a Wal Mart had a mini riot over these game consoles and I also read at cnet.com that there are reports of roberies and violence over this new Xbox 360 already. Basicly if I were planning to buy one I'd go armed! You might disagree but whatever you do don't send little old grand ma to get one, she would be a very inviting target for thugs on the look out! <img src="http://images.s
*DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!* The default skins are nice but once you go looking for other skins, forget it! Their awful! Also if you don't like it as I didn't, uninstalling this completely can be very difficult. Install at your own risk. You've been warned!
Well now I feel very good. I just purchased WindowBlinds a few days ago. That was a close call. Glad everything was backed up.
