So I love this game and I know it's going to be great. The balance struck between TBS and RPG is pretty amazing. I especially like the changes made to the animation system and also the outposts/essence system that everyone has thus far been raving about. That said, the magic system needs to be made clearer and ordered in a more logical/concise way. Going down the warfare and development trees make a lot more sense and seem to be rewarding tactically while the magic tree,

I'd also like to suggest a change into how might is calculated. Maybe if a particular force continues winning against stronger rated forces, its own might rating could increase? I think this would be great for the player who favors small land gains and one or two mega-stacks over more traditionally militaristic strategies. Also, for someone focused in winning through magic, this seems like the best way to calculate might.
I'll start with two of my own: 1. What affects the acquisition of the "corruption" spell. It seems like some of my emperors get it at level 1, while some never get it. 2. Is there a full list of the game's spells along with prerequisites somewhere on the internet or in the game?
Quick question: It seems like one of my death mages gets the "corruption" spell while another does not. What is the exact precursor for this spell?
I get the feeling I'm enjoying this iteration a lot better than the last. But a lot of the changes are confusing me. Especially the difference in spells. Is there a spell list I can view somewhere?
I respect that good work takes time. But I am still bummed out by this major bummer.
One more thing: - I think I like the pacing of the game, but usually when I run into my first AI I discover how far behind I am. The kind of "auto-turn" feature may be responsible for this. I don't seem to put as much emphasis on getting every action out of a turn that I can, because they seem to go by so unceremoniously. I wouldn't know if this is worth changing.
Master of Magic was probably the very first video game I've ever played and has earned its place in my memory as a great game for this reason. I've played other games that have gotten close to recapturing the feelings I had when playing MoM, most notably Disciples II and Age of Wonder. I watched as the original Elemental came closer to release and even had an opportunity to try out a pre-release build - it's an opinion that has been expressed quite a few times, but it ju
