That all makes sense to me. Looks great too. I still do not understand how the nation-specific units are going to be "unique" unless each faction gets a researchable tech that only that faction can unlock (which would be great IMO!!).
that would be an interesting way to make the unique units unqiue. however I do not think that is what is currently planned. As far as I can tell the
What exactly do you think the Human player is going to be able to do that the AI won't? The whole point of these units is to make sure the AI can build good units. Humans building custom units will not be inherently superior to AI unique units. Much of any war in the gaem will likely be decided on a strategic level. The AI having specific units makes tactical AI much easier to perfect. Humans getting to build custom units won&#3

The point is that AI factions will be using their respective "unique" units which will give them diversity and flavor. AI factions WILL NOT be using other factions "unique" units. sounds a bit silly to me... unique units are not unique if there is nothing unique about them, and any faction can make any other factions unique units just by opening a menu.... I understand the desire to allow custom units... but in order to maintain the excitement of different factions having different unique units... you'd need to make it so that special unique units for a faction have something about them that is truly unique and when trying to make a similar unit with another factio

the fact that death worship does nothing is listed. yet influential, civilized, great warriors, and brave all also do nothing. additionally civilized doesn't even mean anything as establishing cities doesn't even have a cost. i hope all problems like this are lumped under "xml errors" ? because theres a bunch more too!

I agree that all the race specific units and all the cool abilities were very very cool. things like fame weren't that interesting but added GREATLY to replayability (replayability in this game was so high because there was way way wawy way way way way more stuff than you could see in a half dozen playthroughs... in elemental you can see EVERYTHING there is to see in 2playthroughs) random events in MoM were actually fairly poorly done, almost alwa

Personally I'm a bit worried by this change. If players are entirely dependent upon random map placement for production. That will force players to adapt entirely to the random map. When things were sort of half and half... you could adapt to the map somewhat but also focus heavily on some sort of plan you like? It seems like now which city upgrades you build are just strictly pre-determined by what resources the map randomly places near you! Whereas before you m

I actually think having a ton of huts might not be so bad... one thing I've always found highly unrealistic about RPG's is that there are virtually no homes! Just compare with simcity where 50-60% of the map is homes! Or look out your window... it's all homes. What might be nice is if the homes had more varied appearances so each district of homes was slightly more distinct... Also perhaps there come be some sort of system whereby huts are upgraded in such a
