Kust noticed your reply, after i had reinstalled it, well i guess the 5th time installing it worked, not sure what happed or why it just stopped working. BTW, the only thing i did different was remove all the backgrounds before the latest install, i had avoided doing it because of all the saved backgrounds and having to find and reinstall them. But it is working again so now i'm searching for my favorites ... thank you for your help

[quote who="CarGuy1" reply="16" id="2944263"]This might work for you. Install windowblinds in Impulse, right click the windowblinds program and copy your serial number. Close out Impulse and navigate to the directory it's installed at. In the case of Windowblinds, mine is at C:\program files\stardock\object desktop\windowblinds. Click the activate.exe file and enter your cd key and email address and try activating. This worked for me on Fences Pr
Hey welcome to MY world too! Having the SAME problem and looks like the same luck getting help.... Ohhh I got a better one too; not only did I get the same error as you did too ("exceding the number at this IP" - BS line) but it ALSO tells me that the regestration number that it shows it regestered under is NOT a stardock number if it try and re-regester it... YAY! isn't updating so much fun... To bad we can't go thru this BS twice a year huh?
[quote who="Shirley" reply="4" id="2617129"] That may not be the case. This post states that Stardock no longer supplies links, once you subscription expires. This is true. We no longer provide archives for expired subs. The issue here is that you bought a subscription, not a standalone application. When the subscription expires, you lose access to updates. Because you tried to update to something you didn't have access to, the app was lo
[quote who="Chasbo" reply="1" id="2615129"] I've been shelling out lots of $$$ to you guys for a LOT of years So if this is the case you should know that updates aren't forever and after a given amount of time newer versions require you to pay for updates. I believe that anybody who is familiar with Stardock and practically any other software maker should know that. You think that they are in business to give things away? You know that you can re insta

THANK YOU! I guess that the people here don't make enough money with out extorting more money from members. I update my software, all goes fine except in order to to update deskscapes I have to uninstall it. fine I do, then when it goes to install the newer version, SLAP!. Oops my supscription has expired... So basically they get you to remove a perfically good (and running) program and THEN tell you "Oh yea,
I updated to SP3 a while ago, but recently I did a write over install on Windows to correct a problem I had with updating Windows...

Here is a quote of mine on your subject; I just thought you might like it.... “ When hard times encase you, true friends will embrace you - While false friends will run and trip over their tongue.”
I agree; Corel is best for it, any thing you create in it is created as an object ( including numbers and letters) and as such can be easily placed anywhere by dragging them or bent, twisted, stretched, etc,etc............
He may have fixed it .... I just noticed that no one replied to him
Problems with the host? I’ve gotten a lot of site too busy replies today
Open the DesktopX settings and under the widgets tab is the settings to change the Hide/Show hot key
Most likely the problem is, is that the image is NOT a true 16color bmp.. The best fix is to get Stradock SkinStudio Pro and under tools is a bootskin prepare image progie use it to import the image you are having problems with then save it in their 16 color format and you should have no problems after that...................
I’ve come across a couple of icon packages like that also - one cure to use them, is to, manually install them ( create a folder, copy all the icons into it and browse for each icon you want to replace) a pain in the butt you can also do the same thing with Sysmetrix by coping the folder you downloaded into the themes folder under Sysmetrix... If you are saying that t
