Is there some way to force the game to enter tactical combat mode? I want to use the tactical mode to fight the bears and wolfs to start off with, but I'm not given an option.
There's an option somewhere to turn the battle threshold down. A vertical scroll bar kind of thing. It's so you don't have to fight really easy battles (but when you first play you want to anyways!)

I had huge trouble casting that spell too, you have to be close to the city, cast the spell and the cursor will highlight the cell you're currently hovering over. Red would be an ineligible cell, it will turn green when you hover it over a city. Remember you have to be pretty close I don't know the exact distance

There's an add/register software thing in Impulse (I am at work so don't have it handy rihgt now sorry) Once you get to the registration window at the bottom there's a add registration button. All this sort of paraphrased since I don't have the UI infront of me. Edit: Try this http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/
1- How do I know how many times I can move before my turn is over? When you select a unit, look at the bottom UI bar. On the left hand side is the "Vitals" display, which has an entry for Moves. This is how many tiles that unit can move during a turn (I think forests count as 2 moves per tile?)
Just a note/question regarding this. Does it show how many moves are left? I couldn

Long Answer : The street date was broken by a few stores so they decided to let the people who bought it on impulse download it early. Short Answer: 99% No
Nearly every successful game has all its core features at release. As it is, it doesn't stand the comparison to day 1 Age of Wonders 2, or day 1 HoMM V, to give a few examples. A lot of the core mechanics are broken or very sketchy. That's what "unfinished" means. Okay, but what core features aren't in Elemental? Bugs means it's unpolished, after all, not unfinished.
Bugs and other unpolished stuff

Brad says that he "would be very surprised if the reviews of Elemental are negative".
It'll depend on how big the changes are in the Day-0 patch. I can see reviewers having lots of issues with the lack of user feedback and other non-polished areas. I'm also going to reserve judgeme
Quoting Zorbane, reply 57Do you know anything about Elemental in Canada? If EB in the US is carrying it (and they appear to be), most likely they'll be able to get it in Canada too. The ones near me won't have any unless you pre-order though, because that's just how they are with anything that isn't projected to be a million unit seller. Last I checked Future Shop didn't have a listing for it at all, which is kind of surprising give
