Gizmet

I just got the game, and finally updated it (boy was it painfully slow 6 hour download), and started playing. I have it set to beginner dificulty and still by turn 100, I get my butt kicked. I have few if any techs researched and my oppenents have about a dozen new cities., while I at best have 3. Not to mention my oppenents build RIGHT next to me so I can't expand anyway. What am I doing wrong? Some pointers would be helpful, thanks. '-Gizmet</

Ok...I am sure this has been asked, but my searchfu is down today...bad day...Anyway, WHen I get a champion with a bonus, lets say +1 Reasearch point a turn, OR any other for that matter you think of it, does he/she have to be in a city in order to contribute that bonus? Or do they just give it as a whole to the pool from anywhere? -Gizmet

I am overseas right now...I am trying to download the 1.09 patch, but keep getting dropped...are there any overseas servers by chance? -Gizme

You are talking in the campaign correct? Yeah, i was confused to...You need to split your forces and send one group to the south to warn all the previous sovs you met. Then take the boats that are given to you northwest, make landfall near the area you can't get past with your other forces, the obsidian wall I think its called. That will then open up the wall. Took me a bit to figure it out too. -Gizmet

Ok, I just got the game on disk...as I am US Army Soldier and am deployed right now, its tough to get the updates....so I only have the version thats on disk. That being said is book I: Reilas the only campaign? I completed that book last night and wanted to know if there was more to it because I dont see any more. -Gizme
