Iokiju: There is a scale slider that lets you change the size of the accessory before placing it. All three designs use the same eight or so pieces pointing in different directions and resized to different degrees. Ordo: Thank you. So far, I've only been able to find one accessory with a hardpoint that places those rings horizontally. However, now that I know it exists and how small I can make it, it might be possible to brute force spheroid designs into the game.

None of the stuff I've built or will build with use Kryo's mod. If passing ships around becomes common, I want to make sure my design are as compatible as possible. As it is, only those with the Collector's Edition content will likely be able to run them.

There are attachments in the extras section of the ship designer that lets you change the orientation of individual hardpoints. With experimentation, I was able to build ships like this: Lance Front and Back: Explorer Front and Back:

It took a bit of tweaking to figure out how to make cylindrical hulls and the 2001 wheel to lay flat. Here are some of my Class Zero stock replacements. The Lance is a light fighter hull waiting for weapons. The Explorer is a sensor ship with the same sight bubble as your flagship. The Pioneer is a fast colony ship, which might undergo a hull revision to make it look less like a shark. The Worker is a Constructor with a greater range than the flagship. If these designs taught me anything, t

Thanks guys! very nice man. Im in the process of doing the same thing, though mine arent as good as yours. I recently "finished" my constructor replacement...though I think im gonna rework it a bit and make the arms symetrical, and probably change the front end a tad. I put all my picks together in one for ease of use..though they arent as

Hey guys, These are my class zero human ship types that I use to replace the stock designs at the beginning of the game. Their stats should tell you what they're built for, and you should be able to see where they outclass their stock counterparts. The Lance design is a basic light fighter hull template for use as the early weapons come up. It's meant primarily for early starbase and planetary defense. This is what my friend is getting: "Right now I get a "The resource cannot be found." when I click create account. That's a brand new one. I had a 999 error a few times when I'd entered my registration details, or occasionally I got an error that had a message involving "@email". Although I'm sure there were one or two others too that I'm forgetting"

My third sandbox game began with a class 26 planet within two turns of my starting Colony ship, and within sensor range. It had one mfg bonus tile and one tech bonus tile. Still, it was a Class 26 that I was able to colonize before turn three...

Flipping hardpoints makes things easy, though I wish I could turn the direction the hardpoint's facing outward rather than on a single axis. Most of the designs I've build recently bear no resemblance at all to their original hulls. I think I've even figured out a way to include long cylindrical sections to the ships themselves. My main problem right now, though, is that I'm designing ships when I'm not even at my computer.

Unfortunately, he's apparently getting a different one each time. He also hasn't provided details on the content of those messages either. I have, however, linked this thread in the forum he was requesting help from, though. I anticipate getting more information shortly.

The install worked. Notice in the message it says: "This installer HAS updated the registry to enable the bonus in-game content." Your ship doodads should appear the next time you're designing a new ship. They'll be clearly marked as Collector's Edition parts.

When you customize a race prior to launching a game, there are several tabs available. One will let you change the colors of your ships and nationality. One lets you change your political party. One lets you change your race's natural abilities. There's a fourth, but I can't remember it off the top of my head.
