What do we do if there is a problem with a skin purchased from a Master Skinner? There is no way to message the creator... clicking on private message goes back to orignal page. It is difficult to trust reviews when things like this happen. Are most reviews are based on screenshot? I like the windowblinds skin and usually her? skins are my go to choice when paying. With some screenshot detective work, the last three skins have the same 'feature' . T
I was noticing this as well. Figured there was a problem since I purchased a new computer, installed the OD, then had to return it and get a whole new machine all within 2 days. I didn't realize we could get Stardock support here on Wincustomize. Thought they were two separate entities. Nice to know for the future. :)
Put them on sale!! Even if we think contacting the designers would too cumbersome, simply take a cut in the Wincustomize/Stardock profits for a sale. One would think the increase in sales revenue would make up for this using simple Cyber Monday sales mechanics.

Are Master Skins rated by everyone, or only the purchasers? Rating a screenshot is one thing, but actually rating a skin for it's usability or features is what the ratings should be about. If anyone can rate a skin that they haven't actually put to the test, then the ratings are sort of useless and actually perpetuate a sense of falseness. This is great to know. 10 updated twice for me, and I had to roll back each time. Thought it was an Nvidia driver problem and so was hoping that would fix things.
First... I respect all of you out there. Skinners, Masterskinners, etc... you are A+ in my book. There appears to be no quality standard once a skinner reaches Master Skinner status. It is simply attrition then. They think all or most of their skins are worthy of the price tag. If they offer a freebie, it really is a freebie. But it is not usually of the same quality. Wincustomize has turned from a community driven by innovation, sharing, and giving... into a business model to make money. It is not necessarily greed driving it. There are costs that need to be covered for all of this marketing, hosting, monetary fees for online carts, fees for this and that. The renewal is a great thing to do. I am waiting to renew mine for when/if the Win10 version of Windowblinds comes out. Stardock's flagship product WindowBlinds doesn't work with Win10.

It might have been GUI champs. It sure brought the best from the designers out. I guess trying to coax the best out of the elite master skinners might be a challenge. I did not know that the ratings on the master skins were only from paid users. That helps me judge the the results so much better. I just put my mouse over the ratings under a skin and see the star light up, so I assume that if I were to click it it would rate the product. Must say, I may complain a LOT about the Master Skinner's pricing their products beyond $.99 , I don't mess with ratings. I may have only rated a skin once or twice but it was only because I liked it. Master Skinners can only judge their ratings from a buyer who thinks the product is worth the buy already. Is there a way to filter out the master skins from a section? I know this will remove 75% new content of some sections, but they really detract from the majority of the site. Think of visiting your favorite website(Facebook or a blog or something like that) where 75% of the content is advertising. Perhaps they could be put as an ad for the bottom banner. Maybe they deserve their own section. Not everyone comes to Wincustomize to shop.
Why on earth are master skin prices going up? The other day the were mismarked at $20. that is SCARY! Funny thing when a skin for a Stardock Product costs as much as or more than the Stardock product itself. That is bad news for the community and will diminish the Windowblinds product brand and value. Looked at it again and at $9.99 it is still high.
