Roy - This immediately came to mind (how does one embed the video?) - Great job! Home Run! Try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUWuBgFsda8 Also, here's one: I'm old enough now that the only time I want it twice is before I've had it once! best, moskowitz
When her biological father left she dove head first into depression. <p
Another misleading title, but I understand, it's marketing. I really liked the part where he goes back in his memories where is younger and stronger. I go there a lot myself. Excellent, my most favorite of authors, Moskowitz
Roy A little misleading ... the setup: a couple in bed the title: has the word bone in it so I'm expecting something spicy not soppy. :) Great writing as always - I say if you don't collect these and turn them into a series of blackouts for actors, I'm gonna! Finder's keepers, right? Love ya, Moskowitz

Thanks, boys. I don't think it's guilt as much as it is simply sorrow. I finally learned what the story of the Prodigal son was really about last summer. My pastor asked "Are you the older son or the younger one?" I answered both, which he agreed we probably all are at different times. My goal now is to be like the father. Thanks for the film clip too, Roy. Later, men, Moskowitz
I apologize, but I honestly didn’t know – I thought it was all <span style="font-size: 10pt; font
Roy - You capture the husbad wife dynamic beautifully. Great story - wonder why so many of your stories are tied back 27, 28 years ago. Thanks for the peek into your marriage, kinda like a Texas version of "Scenes from a Marriage." Moskowitz the Fruitless
Great dream. I think it's basically a confirmation of your waking life and your view of this world. While you walk through a somewhat familiar place, you are still aware of your separateness. You know that God is there and God isn't there. You know that You are there and you aren't there. The nice part is that its basically a content, alive place. May you dwell there forever. Moskowitz the Soothsayer
Thank you one and all. I've missed being here too. My personal life has been pretty rough lately so all I have time for are this haikus. If you read Haiku #1 then you know that I keep getting inspiration, but I'm having a hard time keeping a date with the muse. But, sincerely, thank you for reading and commenting. It makes me feel good. Love to you all, Moskowitz the Stretched

A Late one... but thanks for the JU BC. It was really sweet, and a kind thing to do. God bless you, Moskowitz the Grateful
If you sit around looking at the world and say "I can't fix all this" then, yes, you become impotent, but if you look at it and say "what can I do" it makes the focus smaller. Don't get caught in that nihilist trap that nothing we do matters. That's what gets us the low voter turnout we have. The elites want us to think all we can do is consume. I think there is still much to do, but I can appreciate your burnout. It's tempting to give in. So, I say, give i
Roy My Boy Resisting the impulse is almost inhuman. I have a hundred antisocial impulses a day and I only act on a few of them. That's what logic and ethics do: keep me from acting on all the impulses. When I do act on the wrong ones, then that's what forgiveness and grace are for. Loved the ABBA clip BTW. One of my all-time favorite singles. Moskowitz the Stuck
I know how ya feel. One day you're zipping along, bouncing from one sensation to the next, then you wake up and find the stray gray hair, and you see and old friend and they look comfortably old, and you realize you can remember what you were doing on the day that the "Playmate of the Month" was born. For me, the years passing really hit home when I realized that cute, bubbly twentysomething women were very unguarded and at ease speaking with me (because they viewed me as so old t
I agree with Roy, most folks need just need a good asskicking every now and then, keeps them humble and palatable. Good poem, my mate, Moskowitz
A late congrats! Fuck that 45 is the new 35, or 37 is the new 27, or whatever. I'm 45 in September and I look and feel every ounce of it. I'm glad. I've been a crotchety old man my whole life and now I have permission to be it! So glad not to be "young" anymore! Is the tattoo a manifestation of a "mid-life crisis"? I'd say hell, no. Rock on, mate! From his rocking chair, wearing his jacket and hat in the house, Old Man
Dynamaso Excellent news on your health - lousy news on your hearing. Bad-ass tattoo. And a loving wife who can cook - sheeit, on the balance, sounds like life is pretty damned good. Check into the laser thang Tova says 'bout yo' hearing. I think it'd be worse to be deaf than blind. I'm pretty aurally based. Cheers, my mate, Moskowitz
Now dis be some really he-man info-mation! But I agree with the sentiment: don't fight it. I think anytime one fights with a hard reality, he bound to lose and lose BIG. - moski-witz
