After the 1.0 release, there's no issue. I can run it just fine.
Merku
I'm also having this issue. Sent over that friend request, Ramma.
Will there be steam workshop integration for this sort of thing? It'd be great to download background/foreground/leader thumbnail packs from modders. :)
Ideal game length should depend upon map size. If i'm playing on a small map it's because I want the game to last 10-30 minutes. If slightly larger, then 20-40, if say, a medium sized average map, then 30-60. Why the variation? Skill, mucking around, waiting for the unit that makes the biggest boom, that kind of thing. ;) As for waiting a full hour for units to cross - I'm all for it as long as there's a save option. Turn-based strategy ga
Yeah, I'm guilty of the same. Got this in my e-mail and had a nerd-freakout and hit buy. Looks like a lovechild of SupCom and Sins... and that makes me want to tear up and hug Stardock. Also a Founder of GalCiv3 though for the same reason so... maybe I'm just a Stardock fanboy at this point. :P To the Founding!
I'm inclined to agree that the Founders and the Early Access Feedback sub-forums should be restricted to prevent spoilers, but more importantly, to prevent potentially negative impressions from spreading to the rest of the community. People do, for whatever reason, tend to flippantly ignore the development process and see alphas and betas as some sort of finished product, or as close to finished to justify toxic reactions. Such toxicity so early in GalCiv 3's development c
All changes in both new documents are fantastic. I'm normally just a hardcore lurker - but this definitely gets my seal of approval! :D
What about smaller turrets that come in batches - sort of like buying zerglings in starcraft? You could buy them once, and place perhaps 2 or 3 smaller turrets in various locations, that way you don't have to put all of your defence in one central location like with a gauss turret. They could be defences against fighters that are small, like turrets in games like Wing Commander 4, if anyone remembers it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0 align="absmiddle
I agree with the sliders... Would love that- that's one of the saving graces for GalCiv2 so that I don't play a single game for a week. Time to go play more...
First off I'd like to say "HEY!" to the Sins forums here; I've been visiting often but just haven't bothered to post anything. This will change. Now to the point of the topic... I've played a few games now with Beta 2 and have actually enjoyed myself quite a bit, given the limitations of the beta. I have a few complaints that are not particularly major, just degrees of flexibility. F
Anyone know if this feature (being able to select custom made races as opponents) will be added in 1.2 or later? Merku
I'd still like to face custom made opponents.
I've been rolling this idea over in my head for a while since I am simply addicted to creating new custom races with their own logos and portraits... And making them individual ship types and all that good stuff... Yay for sandboxes! Anyway, my actual ideas are as follows: - At the screen for determining your opponents, have an option that allows for the selecting of custom made races to be opponents... Example: The Uber-GalCiv2 Empire! (me), the Galactic Empire (thin
errrr..... bump?
Hey guys, new to the forums but have been playing GalCiv for ages and GalCiv2 beta since the beginning... I'm having a very irritating problem with the latest patch 1.0x. The settings for the game(s) that I encountered the errors are as follows: Game 1: Abundant Hospitable planets Rare Planets Very Fast Tech Technology/Conquest victory only Scattered Stars Occasional Stars Medium Galaxy Difficulty = Normal 6 Opponents - Dr
