I've been having an issue in my game where my summoned familiar is always at the front of any battle. He's got 8 health and is primarily a spell caster. Why is he at the front of the line? The AI is well aware of this vulnerability too. It charges right for the unprotected caster and kills it... every. single. battle. A great once in a while, I fight something with a lower initiative and have a chance to move him, but it's getting pretty ridiculous. Please

The problem is that I actually *like* that victory. I am very much a tech victory type. It's just too early in the game. Also, it turns out you can't break alliances (I had never had the urge to do so before LOL). So, now I have to beat Procipinee to that victory.
I really feel that the spell of mastery is too early. I can't imagine a game where I am able to do the epic quest, simply because the Spell of Mastery becomes a crisis while my armies are merely "Strong". I am forced to defeat most or all of my opponents, even on a large map, just to prevent the Spell of Mastery from being cast. It's not as if I'm losing either. I am dominating the game (on normal). I would just rather win by another method this game because the last sever
Issue: I discovered a tech on the same turn as I won the game by Spell of Making. Instead of showing me the stats for my game, I saw only the select a new tech screen. Steps to reproduce: Try to time discovering a tech and winning by spell of making to happen at the same moment. Additional notes (semi-related): The AI was also a little strange when I was about to win. Resoln was also working on the Spell of Making, but hadn
Issue: Selecting upgraded weapon does not select the "best" weapon. Steps to reproduce: Have "Weaponry" researched, but no additional research that produces weapons. (I was also playing as Pariden/Procipinee) Create a new unit. Give that unit upgradable one-handed weapons where your maximum one-handed is the first axe. You will notice that instead of selecting the axe, it selects the warhammer, even though the axe is the weapon fu
I have not yet researched Breon's Letters, yet I am able to do the black gate epic quests.
Sometimes, when I have a large number of enchantments on a character, the particle effects for those spells survive forever. Only a reload of the game will clear them. This only seems to happen at locations the character stopped for the turn. It does not appear to happen on the travel route. Perhaps end turn is causing this effect somehow?
"Keeping a champion in a city lowers the cities unrest..." This should read: Keeping a champion in a city lowers the city's unrest...
I have a group that is part cavalry and part foot soldiers. If I remove the foot soldiers from the group, the cavalry are still restricted to the 2 movement for that turn, even though no one had moved yet. It should be that once you remove the foot soldiers, the cavalry are free to do their entire movement because no time has been spent moving yet.
When trading tech knowledge with another kingdom, I offered to trade all of my military tech knowledge for all of their magic tech knowledge. It turned out that my 79 was worth considerably more than their 60, so I wanted to undo it. However, since the tech knowledge had 0 left, I didn't get the pop up to adjust it. I couldn't remove the tech from the display at all. My only option was to restart the trade entirely.
Gave one of my heroes path of defender, then immune to counter. In a recent battle, an enemy sovereign was counterattacking against her.
Confirming flame wave issues. Every time I cast flame wave, it does nothing.
Same experience here with Abandoned Dig quest. Large number of scrap golems produced all over the map. Many in inaccessible areas. Two were in water, two on different mountain sides. Most were not really that close to the actual quest hut either. Similarly, I had another quest where I released a bunch of fire elementals into the landscape. Those too spawned in water and on mountains. Interestingly enough, I managed to slay the scrap golems in the water because it just happened
Similar experience, but this time it was the AI. I was the blue, Tarth had the massive amount. Maybe this is why the AI can chain cast curse city? (EDIT: Clarification, my game is from v0.90, not 0.91.)
Remembered one other issue... 8) Healing spells seem extremely weak by level 22-25. When monsters are doing 20-50 damage a hit, and you have 200+ health, 8(+4) healing just doesn't cut it. I only ever had 1 life shrine, so I was getting 12 points of healing. Perhaps healing should be increased with the invoker trait as well?
[CTD] I was attempting to load my save after taking a break for about an hour. No matter what I try, the save will not load, and the whole game crashes each time it tries. Thanks for the update Frogboy! As an indie game developer myself, I am highly tolerant of such issues. I know you guys are working hard to fix the issue, and I have faith that you will! I have to say that EWoM handles this issue FAR better than Civ5. When my Civ5 games get too big, performance comes to a halt and finally crashes. Your game continues to operate at peak performance, but then eventually crashes. I also find that I don't get the OoM error for a long period even when the game is e
Sounds great Stardock! I can't wait!
Heh, I suppose I'm the only one who thinks the one with the jagged outline looks cool. I always play evil civs, and like the idea of my cities looking like cancerous growths spreading on the map.
Not the only one, and I usually play good civs LOL! I just like a good saw blade shaped border :) CariElf, your development style sounds like mine. Change something - see what happens - get frustrated that it di
really, competitive multiplayer means all players will play as Females for the quicker marriages.
I don't follow. Female sovs don't really have an advantage now that Janusk won't marry until after a certain prestige level. I find about 50/50 male/female heroes out there. It's really a shot in the dark.
Ouch. I haven't gotten *that* far. My game has become too unstable to continue presently (crashes every 2 to 10 turns). I'm usually building companies of longbow wielding soldiers with no armor, backed up by parties of longsword wielding light plate clad front line troops. Sometimes these are still individuals (like in the sov's army), because the army hasn't been back home in *years*.
Why do you think he found death waiting for him in a spider den? Liability threats against the sovereign meet with untimely ends.
Hmm... I've researched past the ancient maps one. I had been neglecting quests tech because of the wars with two imperials. My sov marches around with an ARMY of soldiers and summons that stomps imperial cities.
Not wanting to derail the thread, but does anything pick anything thats not "+gildar bonus" when your towns level up? The other 3 options just aren't appealing enough imo.
I almost never pick +gildar bonus for city level up. Of course, my sov is usually a merchant. Income is never an issue with a merchant sov. I find myself picking +world knowledge most of the time.
Mine wasn't eaten by a water drake. Mine was eaten by a spider. My poor sovereign mourned his loss deeply and never remarried. Fortunately, they had one offspring prior to his death because apparently, you can't remarry!!
