Oh, you've had this problem too? I go to Help->About IconPackager and it says 3.00. How can I find out a more specific version number?
3.00 I actually think I had this problem before IP 3 though.
This is really weird...for a while now, whenever I apply a new IconPackager package, the .txt icon never changes. But it's not the default Windows icon, it's the .txt icon from the Overbyte icon package. I've tried repairing/rebuilding/refreshing and lots of other re-----ing things invovling my icon cache etc. It just won't change. Also, it's not the full resolution version, but it seems to be a 16x16 version of the icon (I have my icons set to 64x
Earlier the comment said that your internal build supports it...why did you change the wording?
I would reccomend Ubuntu, it focuses largely on "just work"ing and has a six month release cycle. It's Debian-based so includes apt-get and Synaptic (apt-get package manager for Gnome), as well as the simplified Ubuntu Update Manager in their upcoming release. Also it has sponorship from Canonical so should stay free. I tried Mandrake 10 and didn't like it either, but I like Ubuntu a lot. http://www.ubuntu.com
Jafo: Changed all c++'s to cpp's, still getting the same error (** Object reference not set to an instance of an object.). I'll try again later, I'll be up until 3AM anyway waiting for the new Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trailer on IMDB.
Ahhh...so two plus signs in devc++.zip could be a problem...will try without.
