double post
9 days and two emails later, I'm still waiting on to clear up my order status, or even respond or acknowledge receipt of my emails.
As of now, I've heard nothing from sales@stardock. What's the turnaround time supposed to be? I sent my query in on the evening of the 9th.
I had the same situation, but went through with it anyways. However, it looks like I've been charged double shipping and something errored out with the order so even though PayPal tells me they gave money to Stardock, Stardock never confirmed that the order completed. I'm currently waiting to hear back from on this matter.
Could we get a wallpaper of that dog in say... 1650 x 1050 ? PLEASE ? [e digicons][/e]
Since the code is now much simpler...
I love simple code. It's SOOO much easier to write and maintain. A lot of what I've been doing at my current job is to refactor and simplify code. Doing the same process faster and in less lines of code? Priceless!
The Boot Sector handle lock issue is addressed on 32-bit machines but not 64-bit. As a result, most 64-bit machines will likely still experience a hard lock that will require reinstallation of the OS.
I think this needs to be made a feature. Personally, I enjoy doing a full reinstall after each game. Besides, it keeps things fresh. None of that cruft that accumulates after using Windows for any period of time. &nbs
I only want turn based. If I want real time, I'll go play StarCraft. I am but one man, and I want time to consider my moves, and be able to react to the moves of my opponents. Anything else starts tending towards a clickfest and I don't have any desire to spend the hours it would require in order to simply train reactions. I want to win because I had the better units/strategy/whatever, not because I was able to out-click my opponent.
You should really go to that meeting before they come find you.... :) Also, why are you running an eval version of Win 7? I would have expected y'all to have MSDN licences and already be running the full version.
Thanks! DLing now.
I think I just hurt something laughing...
Damn I wish I could afford to go to PAX
Oh geez... I even still OWN a couple of those type of books.
I really like to see these sort of things. Please publish more. :) I'm not as familiar with C/C++ environments as I'd like to be. I have been developing in a Lotus Notes/Domino environment for various companies for over ten years now and most of those concepts still resonate with what I do. Couple of suggestions: Document the WHY not the HOW. Any programmer should be able to read the HOW in the code, but I need to know WHY this code was done this way. This
Nice! Where did you dig that out of?
It's horrible. I've got too many games to play. I spent this weekend playing Demigod. Maybe this week I'll carve some time out and get Entrenched.
At the end of the development process it is often quit difficult or even impossible.
This. So much this. I've been doing software development for years, and it something that would take 10 minutes to change at the beginning of a project will take days or weeks near the end. This doesn't only apply to code, but also to direction. In effect, instead of trying to fix a broken system later, you ensure that it's built it correctly the first
