Played a game with the "better Duke" last night. He was definitely nice to have along but didn't seem out of balance with the other champions as the game progressed. He took more of a licking now and then but survived all but one encounter. So I'd say he looks pretty good in the nerfed form - not dominant but good to have along.

I enjoy both FE and LH. They are different games despite the common heritage. I've played RPG games for many years. This is the first time I've played a hybrid like this. Most games had limited replayability. Both FE and LH are infinitely replayable. Playing Ythril, attacking a city. Multiple Juggernauts and a hero with maul. For some reason all the archers (the melee units are pretty much toast given that they're in the way) always go for the "Battleborn". While admittedly the Battleborn have n times x damage, the Juggernauts are by far the more dangerous target. So the Battleborn soak up the damage and the Juggernauts do the elimination. I've noticed that while melee units have to move around obstacles, ranged units can shot through hills. I can understand that area spells probably should impact the entire area but it doesn't make that much sense to hit something you have no line of sight to either. I'm new so perhaps have missed something.
