This has been going on for quite a while, but I've never posted about it ... and don't really remember when it began. Basically since using Impulse, I've never been able to realyl use CursorFX Plus. I can open the program, but when I begin to look at the different cursor options, the program becomes non-responsive. I have to use Task Manager to close it down.
I am using Object Desktop Premium/Impulse. I have always been really confused about the purpose of the individual programs. For example, now I have Bootskin Pro and I have LogonVista. I have been using LogonVista. What is the difference in these two programs? What is the difference in Icon Packager 4 and IconX? What is the difference in MyColors, Object Desktop Premium Skins, Theme Manager, and Window Blinds? Also --- Use Impulse or WinCustomize ?? Ther
I'll keep an eye on this, because I'm in the same boat [e digicons]:D[/e]
This is a quote from Zubaz on another thread dealing with a similar problem...maybe this will help............... For anyone having trouble with the widgets, try http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/install_weather.bat (running as admin if in Vista) and report back. It should resolve any issues. Try re-booting after you run the batch file. It worked for me.
I did do this and it wo

Ok, in regards to this, I have Windows Vista Ultimate, and Object Desktop Ultimate, which came with Deskscapes. Deskscapes is not saying it needs to be updated or anything. However, in my list of registrations codes (within Impulse), my Deskscapes is coming up with "Invalid Code". I'm not really sure what was there --- I probably had my Object Desktop Ultimate serial there. I have seen the threads for downloading/registering the free products, and have done that for a couple of items. Wo
thank you for this information!
I have been having the same problems with OD crashing and having to be restarted. I initially thought I would try it out and see if it was worth purchasing, but this problem has been going on for so long now that I'm reluctant to purchase the program. I have the free version running on my Windows Vista Ultimate at home, and Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop, and Windows XP Media Center on my office desktop computer. The XP rarely has issues, and usually only when I have too much going on. The
i just got my magic :) thank you!
thanks everyone ....... i do have SP1 .... anyway, gonna take the plunge!!!! :)
rotfl ... yeah, so it's not installed anymore, but what about LogonStudio Vista? I guess I can always do a system restore ...... lol oh and the error message above was for LSV, not BootSkin
I have OD and a few months ago I tried to use either BootXP or LogonStudio Vista. I'm thinking that I didn't have problems with the logon screens, but when I tried to use BootXP on my Vista system I ended up having to do system restore. In fact, Vista just automatically did it because I couldn't start up. So I uninstalled both BootXP and LogonStudio Vista. Now I have tried to go back to using LSV --- but when I try to open the program, i get an error: <img src="http://i129.photobucket.com
dragging and dropping worked! I had right-clicked on these 2 icons and was not able to change (or did not know how) the links for them. but dragging and dropping worked! thank you!
I am a new ObjectDock User :) The Mail and Internet icons supposedly go to my default email and browser programs, but in reality, they do not. I am using Thunderbird and Firefox, but when I click on the Mail or Internet icons, they open up Windows Mail and IE. How can I change these so that they open up the correct programs?
