Oh man this has been a convoluted ride. So I tried installing things one by one. Still had the problem with everything except fences. I uninstalled everything and started over. Same thing. So I went and bit the bullet. I formatted and re-installed the operating system. I then installed all the object desktop apps except Sound Packager before everything else. I recently renewed my subscription to Object Desktop and unfortunately will be unable to use it. Most of the programs mess with my audio card (Only fences does not). If I lock my computer for any longer then say 30 minutes it messes with my audio card drivers. No sounds would play in any program (all programs not just Object Desktop programs). I thought I posted this but. the problem you had from at least version 2 (if not 1) is that if you use a mirrored cursor (I'm left handed and feels betters that way) you have to click about 1/2 inch to the right of any button. That is with any cursor in the default build. I haven't been able to get extra cursors to load so haven't been able to try it.

I am having the same problem. I have Windows 8.1 Running WB8, Decor8, Window FX and Deskscapes. I ran only WB and explorer worked as expected. I turned on Deskscapes and the problem returned. So it seems that it is Deskscapesd that is causing the issue.......for me at least. I have started everything except Deskscapes and it explorer displays as it should. Soon as I turn on Deskscapes I get a black background in explorer.

Well at least that is something. I have bought the box pack and was going back there for updates and poof! (Clouds of purple smoke billowing up from the floor) It is gone! I can only hope that someone from Softini reads this thread and responds or the web page comes back up soon. It's been down for at least a week if not more.

Can anyone help me with this strange skin browser not applying the skins it downloads and when it does try to apply the skin (on those rare occasions. one time out of ten) it locks up the program at least, if not the whole computer. Also, I am unable to uninstall an component to install a newer version (from Component Manager), kinda. When attempting to uninstall the old component it comes up with a message which states "Unable to uninstall." When I click ok it states "Uninstalled successfully".

Tried that. Didn't work either. Trillian isn't loaded and WB was already running. No luck. When I attempt to apply the skin it locks up my computer. Alas I believe it is formatting time.....

The only apps I have open arew the skin browser and Pocomail. I closed pocomail and tried to apply a windowblinds skin and it did the same thing. Running in the backbround I have the Mozilla quick launch, java applet, Sygate personal firewall,Trillian Popupstopper and my antivirus program. I had windowfx running but it locked up windows when trying to install the skins through skin browser.

Just tried that and it will not work. Does the same thing. Any other ideas. Maybe I'm not downloading them. The only button I have is Apply. When I click that I then click on the downloads button and see it (supposedly) finish downloading but, I am still unable to install it...... Hmmmm...... It mocks me I tell you!!
