My money??? Trivial. Take my firstborn. Take my wife! Heck, take my soul. I'm yours, Stardock.

Age: 52 Started out on a Timex Sinclair 1000 playing some sort of a star trek-like game. Played through all of the classic TBS. Caught on to Stardock with GC1 and loved every minute.
I agree this is a fairly minor thing which people can differ on. One very minor issue I have with the health bar, which OP alluded to is the fact that the health bar changes as soon as I click on an attack prior to the attack animation running and damage points showing up. More of a polish issue than anything else.
I also dislike the idea of 1-tile cities. The cities become plain vanilla in their appearance...no variation, no difference. One of the cool things I like is the ability to build cities into different shapes. As a previous poster indicated, I also like building my capitol into a huge metropolis with all the special buildings. It adds (IMHO) character to the game. Seems to me like 1-tile cities dumbs down the game.
Nice game so far and haven't crashed at all (yet) this version. Some suggestions: 1. After a combat sequence if the stack engaging in combat still has movement points left, please leave the stack focus on this stack. It is annoying when I am mentally engaged with a particular stack and perform an attack, that after the attack I am redirected to a different stack. 2. The number of items able to be equipped per champion is too few. I know there needs to be some li

Ha! And I suppose the next thing you'll ask for is a pony.
I wasn't interested in beta's and so my last exposure to EWOM was 1.1. Watched the progression of the betas though and was expecting improvement although my 1.1 experience wasn't too bad from the bug perspective. No OOM, few annoying bugs. Downloaded 1.2 and the annoying bugs seem to have multiplied like rabbits compared to 1.1. I don't see any noticeable performance improvements but haven't yet stressed the game (early in my first 1.2 game). But I have seen:
You forgot to add that you can't do a quick save and reload the Stardock "game" when things don't go your way!
FWIW, I've never had a crash when I quicksaved. Many fewer crashes with v1.1--only 1 that I recall.
Ok, this issue with the aging of children faster than adults is bothersome even though it doesn't really affect gameplay. But it is a distraction. Here's my idea: Age the adults at the same rate as the children. As a powerful channeler, I ought to have longevity. And there's no reason why this world must conform to our (earthly) standards of old age. Let everyone's normal lifespan be a couple of hundred years. And, add some spells of longevity. Let my channeler's normal lifesp
If I get a sucky location without gold mines, I mine the monsters for gold. Set up a death squad to kill monsters and I get enough gold to build up a strong army for conquering.
OK, I rarely post on these fourms but will put my 2 cents worth in here. Frogboy, as you well know you screwed the pooch on this one. I feel bad for you personally, but this ought to become a textbook case of how not to do it. But I also respect you for taking responsibility. I for one still trust you and Stardock. You have built up a very nice reputation, slightly tarnished now but still mostly intact. I suspect another problem, which you didn't mention, is that expectations for this
