just downloaded it from Technet and will be installing it this weekend-HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!! lets see what happens ;)
I for one ain't happy about this sorry, but this WAS the reason I got Ultimate, now I see no need to have it.........
Hankers; thanks for the effort but none of those are the one I am looking for. this one was a plain gold skin nothing really elaborate. thanks for the help!
Does anyone out there have a copy of an old skin that you may send to me,if possible. I am looking for one that was here way back in the day called Fools_Gold (I think), and the authors name was Old Timer,I think. I have not been able to find it. Thanks for your time
Hurray!!!!!!!!!!! the very latest update available on SDC (3.20a[rc].033) fixed all my problems I was encountering while using the x64 flavor of Ultimate- a BIG THANK YOU to you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now time to download more pa
I thought I read somewhere that a new version of CursorXP was about to be released that includes Vista support. Does that mean that CursorVista is dead and will be part of CursorXP- just wondering out loud
to be fair I don't accuse no-one , just smells a wee bit
I remember reading those same kind of posts complaining about XP when it came out. And now everybody loves it.
^^^^^^ I did a google search of that file and it sure looks to be warez the trial version from Stardock is WindowBlinds6_public.exe I think
I am running Vista x64 and did a clean install of it and WB6 works a treat. By chance me hardy, did you upgrade from XP x64?
right click anywhere on the desktop > click on personalization > click on window color and appearance. If it opens a box saying in the upper left "appearance" look at the drop down list and click on Windows Aero and click apply. If it opens a box where you can choose all the pretty colors you are already in aero. But if your computer's graphic abilities are marginal it won't necessarily let you run aero.
installed the latest update and it's FIXED. thanks Stardock
ok-thanks I'll wait for it
several days before the release of WB6 I discovered that the latest(at that time) beta was x64 Vista compatible. I am running Vista x64 Ultimate. I install it and it works flawlessly. Then the release of WB6 appears on SDC and I update to that. Upon completetion the config page appears and a dialog box about restarting which I do.Upon restart I open WB6 only to find that the config page appears but it does absolutety nothing(wont change settings or skins) so I dutifully uninstall, restart and rei
just found out that the latest wb6 is x64 ready, installed it and now dreamscenes and deskscapes work on startup
jeesh- talk about buried! A huge thank you for this- I am going to try it right now and yes they haven't updated the text, I have been patiently waiting...........
The newest beta supports 64 bit. Need to be a ODNT subscriber for that though. It does? then why does this pop up on SDC when I click on WB6? (5.92[b].096) [Please note that the betas for WindowBlinds 6
I have just installed the latest ultimate update for dreamscene from microsoft and all is good(as compared to before the update) except for one rather annoying glitch. dreamscene or deskscapes will not start on start up. I get a message box stating my system has to be in aero for it to work, and this is true. unload WB and go to aero and it restarts normally. I am running Vista x64.
dreamscene never worked right for me before-like unable to resume it from standby without getting dreamscene errors. now it works fine for me. I am able to leave it running all the time and it works when I resume from S3 sleep mode. so it is a definate improvement for me......
Is it compatible Vista ultimate 64 bit?
must be- I just downloaded and installed the update and I'm running x64
well i was all in a tiz - until i found out this newest beta still won't work on x64 thought i might have a chance to play a little also
hey- I am running vista 64 bit and cursor xp works good enough for me to have been using it for a while now
well new cars have obd2,antilock brakes and some even use wires(electronics)for throttle control and much more, why get a new car? really I have to agree if you are going to get a new computer take the plunge and get Vista it ain't that bad. linux is ok especially ubuntu but I don't want to take the time to learn all the command line stuff to use it properly.
it's bicycle repairman!!!!!!!!!
